You may know HasuObs and Socke from their Protoss play in Starcraft, but how do the Germans fair at Heroes of the Storm? We take a look at ROCCAT heroes in preparation for their upcoming ETS #3 group stage matches.
Previously known as Well Met, ROCCAT heroes is currently the 7th ranked EU team in the world. While ROCCAT heroes has never had a dominating streak like a Team Liquid, or Tempo Storm, they continue to make their presence known during EU heroes events. Their tournament performance was at a peak during the E.T.C and Brightwing days of old, when budding EU teams learned to fear Socke's impressive mosh pits.
But the meta has changed drastically since then and ROCCAT heroes will have to adapt. They have already proven their strength as a team by qualifying for the 2015 HWC EU Championship (competing for a spot at BlizzCon world championships) but all eyes will be on tomorrows Enter the Storm Cup #3 group stage.
This will be ROCCAT's first chance to demonstrate an understanding of the latest patch at a major tournament. Currently, the team has been playing with Leoric compositions backed up by another warrior. With the meat-shield established, they favor either Kael'Thas or Nazeebo to deal massive amounts of safe damage. This approach takes advantage of some of the strongest heroes in the game, meaning ROCCAT wants to win at the draft phase in order to get the heroes they prefer.
Their first match against Murky Geniuses start tomorrow at 18:00 CEST. You can watch it live on twitch.tv/khaldor.
