Team Puszek and Team Liquid stomp the competition during their ESL Major League #3 debut

Team Puszek defeats Nihilum 2-0 on the back Nazeebo, Anub'arak and Malfurion synergy while Team Liquid continues to faces no real opposition.

EU Group Stage

Puszek Team vs. Nihilum

We saw a lot of unique picks today during day 2 of the EU group stage, most notably the Nazeebo centric lineup of Puszek team. Taking advantage of the recent buffs to Corpse Spiders hero tracking AI, they utilized a full Corpse Spider talents in both of their games against Nihilum. Backed up my Anub'arak and Malfurion in both games, the sustained damage, pushing power, and AoE CC in the form of Zombie Wall and Entangling Roots proved very effective, especially against the Butcher composition Nihilum used in Game 1.

Both games were extremely close, and Nihilum carried the momentum for the majority of early game with aggressive Muradin player, however the grindy sustained heals and poke damage of Puszek's lineup becomes extremely hard to engage at level 20, allowing Puszek team to push to the core after just 1 or 2 hero kills in both matches.

Team Liquid vs. Huron team

Huron team started this set off hopeful. They chose Murky against the highest ranked team in the world: you have to give them credit at least for their confidence. Unfortunately, at the 10 minute mark it was 17-13 in favor of Team Liquid, and shortly after the match was finished. Not much to report on this match, it ended before you realized it had even started.

Game two was a similar story, this time replacing Huron's Murky pick with Gazlowe. At this point, it wasn't readily apparent what Huron's strategy was going into the match, but it ultimately didn't seem to matter. Burning Rage Gazlowe is not something you want to try against the likes Team Liquid (though it is something you want to try if your goal is to enrage Twitch chat), and in just 14 minutes, Team Liquid had won the match.
