MLG Executive Vice President Adam Apicella said on twitter he'd "love to have some online SC2 tournament" again in 2014. Nothing is official as of yet, and the tweet remains Apicella's personal desire for the next year.
MLG discontinued cooperation with Blizzard in June this year when the American organization handed the production of the WCS over to their competitors from NASL. This first sign of MLG's retraction from the StarCraft 2 scene was followed by company CEO Sundance DiGiovanni confirming in August that Blizzard's RTS will not be present at MLG Columbus, held just a month ago between November 22-24. The departure of MLG StarCraft casting duo Axslav and Axeltoss in mid-November left even more questions on whether MLG will operate an SC2 tournament ever again.
Today, MLG EVP Adam Apicella expressed on Twitter that he'd love to have some online SC2 activity in 2014 again. Though the word "online" suggests the leading eSports RTS might indeed not attend the offline circuits like the MLG Championships, Apicella's intention give some hope that Blizzard's game will return to the MLG brand if only on-stream.
Would love to have some online Sc2 tournament and broadcast activity again in 2014.

If I say I want to do something, I mean it. I think I've proven that as a fact. I'm looking forward to 2014.
