Here's everything you need to know about the Hazmat Team update in Roblox's Animal Hospital.
Animal Hospital has received a new update, with green slime contaminating the hospital and Animal Corporation calling in the Hazmat Team to help deal with the sticky situation. You'll encounter a new slime anomaly, recruit a new NPC to work alongside your team, and have the option to purchase a brand-new Firefighter Class just in time for the emergency.
On top of that, Animal Hospital has also introduced a host of new limited-time and permanent skins for purchase. Players can now track every anomaly and NPC they've encountered, along with a new set of achievements, through the newly added Journal feature. Read further for a more elaborate guide of the update.
What is the Hazmat Team event in Animal Hospital?
Beginning on Shift 11, the hospital becomes contaminated with slime and green fog. The slime rapidly spreads throughout the hospital, and your single fire extinguisher won't be enough to keep it under control. Animal Corporation then deploys the Hazmat Team, bringing in two NPCs wearing hazmat suits to clean up the slime around the hospital–although they do take their time with it.
The slime invasion lasts for two consecutive shifts, ending at the conclusion of Shift 12. During this time, a new slime anomaly called Slimebert appears and roams the hospital, devouring and damaging anyone in its path. It can consume both players and patients while leaving behind even more slime contamination.
There is no way to defeat the slime anomaly, but you can slow it down by spraying it with a fire extinguisher. Once the event ends at the conclusion of Shift 12, both the slime anomaly and the green contamination disappear.
Keep in mind that while the event is active, you'll still need to run the hospital as normal by registering and treating patients while trying to stay alive. After surviving the slime event, a new NPC wearing a hazmat suit will arrive at the hospital. Sam, a calico cat, offers to work for the hospital by cleaning up any slime contamination, making him an especially useful helper when things get hectic. He leaves the hospital when there is no slime present but returns whenever needed.
Overall, this event feels more challenging than the ambulance raid, but Animal Hospital has also introduced a fitting new class to assist the slime outbreak.
What is the Firefighter Class in Animal Hospital?
The Firefighter Class gives you a special Fire Extinguisher that is stored in your personal inventory and automatically recharges while not in use. As you level up the class, you'll become immune to fire damage and gain additional Sanity whenever you extinguish a fire. The class costs 1,100 Animal Coins and currently has no exclusive skins available.
Here are the Firefighter Class level benefits:
- Level 1: Start with a Fire Extinguisher and +1 maximum inventory capacity.
- Level 2: Recover 1 Sanity whenever you put out a fire.
- Level 3: Become immune to Sanity drain from fires and gain +10 maximum Sanity.
Animal Hospital adds Journal feature and more Class skins
The update also introduces the new Journal feature, allowing you to track every unique anomaly and NPC you've encountered (starting from this update), along with a new set of achievements. Each completed achievement rewards you with Animal Coins.
