Ashur is not only able to program tools useful for Starcraft players and find security holes in anti hacks or what it might be. He has also hosted an event for ProGamers.cz, called MapMatch.
In "MapMatch" two Czech national team players,
CDS)Gantrior and vandam[MG], faced each other in a five match series, on five completely new maps. I suppose that you remember the Blizzard Mystery-Map Invitational. The concept here is pretty much the same. The players got the maps five days before the evnt took place and was only able to practise them for a limited period of time. CDS)Gantriorvs. |
As you can see, vandam made the process short with Gantrior. He had 4-0 after four played games, before Gantrior was finally able to take a win. Of those five new maps the first one, Serpent Dream, was special made just for this event. The four others are all from a Team Liquid forum thread where map makers could post their creations to a map making competition.
Replays available
The replays are available from the link below. I have not checked them yet, but they should be pretty interesting with the new maps and so on. Ashur said that the first game was a pretty good one, so check it out.
