With Valentine’s day right around the corner, here are our favourite ships from Genshin Impact.
Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate love in all its forms, and in Genshin Impact, romance may not be at the forefront or official, but that hasn’t stopped fans (or the developer themselves!) from creating some truly unforgettable ships. Here are our favorite Genshin Impact ships that will make your heart race:
BeiGuang - Beidou and Ningguang
The Beidou and Ningguang pairing is an enduring ship that has been around since the beginning versions of Genshin Impact. The free-spirited captain of the Crux and the elegant Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing may seem like the complete opposites of each other, but the chemistry between the two is incredibly palpable, you can’t help but feel that underneath all the layers of their dialogue that even HoYoverse themself are gunning to confirm that this pairing is canon. Who could ever forget the cutscene between Ningguang and Beidou during Lantern Rite where Ningguang showed off her new outfit? I think every single player who got to watch that scene was thrown off their feet!
HaiKaveh/KaveTham - Al Haitham and Kaveh
Al Haitham and Kaveh may present themselves as a pair of roommates who just can’t stand each other, but to dedicated fans, they’re the perfect match under the typical opposites attract dynamic; Al Haitham is cool and calculated, and rarely ever shows his emotions on his sleeve, while Kaveh is impressionable, emotional, and incredibly sociable. Though the two may frequently butt heads, you can definitely see that they do deeply care about each other, often hiding their affection through snark and the usual bickering.
MavuiTano - Mavuika and Capitano
A relatively new ship, yet undeniably popular, Mavuika and Capitano may have initially been seen as enemies in the early chapters of Natlan’s Archon Quest, but creative fans quickly recognized the potential in their pairing. Both are driven, formidable figures who have sacrificed everything for the sake of what they hold dear — traits that, to shippers, make them a perfect match.
The MavuiTano ship also appeals to fans drawn to tragic romances, as their dynamic embodies the angst of pining and the heartbreak of inevitable separation. After all, nothing tugs at the heartstrings quite like an enemies-to-lovers tale steeped in sorrow.
TartaLi/ChiLi/ZhongChi - Tartaglia/Childe and Zhongli
Arguably the most popular ship in the Genshin Impact fandom, the pairing of Tartaglia (Childe) and Zhongli has captivated millions of shippers worldwide, largely due to their numerous in-game interactions that fuel fanon creations.
In canon lore, Childe and Zhongli share a dynamic that is equal parts comedic and professional—despite technically being enemies. As a Fatui Harbinger, Childe played a key role in the chaos that befell Liyue, while Zhongli, the city’s former Archon, watches from the shadows. However, Childe remains unaware of Zhongli’s true identity. Their relationship, though marked by this irony, is less about conflict and more about contrast: Childe often finds himself footing the bill for Zhongli’s extravagant tastes, while Zhongli, in turn, imparts wisdom to the young Harbinger.
Me and everyone else - Traveler and literally everyone else
There’s nothing quite like shipping every character with yourself, because why settle for one ship when you can have them all? While romance isn’t the focal point of Genshin Impact’s sprawling narrative, that hasn’t stopped players from picking up on the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) hints that certain characters may harbor feelings for the Traveler… aka YOU!
Whether it’s flirtatious dialogue, heartfelt moments, or special in-game interactions, HoYoverse knows exactly how to sprinkle just enough romantic subtext to make players wonder, leaving just enough room for fans to interpret their own love story within Teyvat. After all, when the world is full of gods, warriors, and vision-wielding heroes, who wouldn’t want to be at the center of it all?
