Genshin Impact's Version Luna VI is coming out on 8 April, 2026.
The latest update for Genshin Impact, Version Luna VI: Augured Homecoming, is set to go live on 8 April, 2026. In a preview livestream released today, 27 March, developer HoYoverse has unveiled what to expect with the upcoming version, including a new character in Linnea, rerun banners, and a map expansion to the nation of Mondstadt.

Genshin Impact Version Luna VI first half banners: Linnea and Chasca
The first half of Version Luna VI will introduce Linnea as a new playable character. She will run alongside the Saurian Hunter from Natlan, Chasca.
Linnea will be a Geo character affiliated with the region of Nod-Krai, so instead of a Vision, she wields a Moon Wheel. Linnea is an advisor to the Adventurer's Guild, and is described as a “lively Lady Adventurer” who "brought the most wondrous voices from different corners of the world". Other information about Linnea reveals that she is attuned to Life Sciences–likely a reference to her namesake, the 18th century Swedish biologist Carl Linnaeus, who formalised binomial nomenclature.
Linnea is considered an “inhuman” due to her fae lineage, apparent with the small wings atop her head. Aino adores Linnea because she has a lot of “cool stories” to tell, although she also observes that Linnea has an apparent dislike for machineries and robots, which Aino attributes to “not being Linnea's style”. This observation is solidified through Ineffa, who shares that Linnea runs away when she sees her.
As a playable character, Linnea will be a Lunar-Crystallize support unit, mainly acting as an off-field buffer and support, while also providing heals through her burst.
With Linnea's arrival, she will complete Lunar-Crystallize teams revolving around Zibai. She wields a bow.
Genshin Impact Version Luna VI second half banners: Nefer and Lauma
The Dendro catalyst character Nefer will run alongside premiere Dendro Lunar-Bloom support Lauma in the second half of Version Luna VI.
Chronicled Banner: Fontaine edition
A Chronicled Banner will also debut in Version Luna VI, and will feature Fontaine characters like Emilie, Clorinde, Navia, Sigewinne, and Lyney. The Chronicled Banner will also include their 5-star best-in-slot weapons.
What are the weapon banners coming to Genshin Impact Version Luna VI?
A new weapon is coming to the weapon banners, particularly Linnea's best-in-slot 5-star bow, Golden Frostbound Oath. It will run alongside Chasca's best-in-slot 5-star bow, Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage.
The second half of the weapon banner will include reruns of Nefer and Lauma's best-in-slots: The 5-star catalysts Reliquary of Truth and Nightweaver's Looking Glass.

Version Luna VI will boast a new map expansion, as well as new events to look forward to.
New map expansion: Dornman Port and Temple of Space
Mondstadt is expanding! Version Luna VI is all set to introduce travellers to a new area: Dornman Port.
Dornman Port has been part of Genshin Impact's expansive lore since the beginning of the game. It acts as Mondstadt's hub for sea travel and trade across Teyvat, and is where most of the nation's prized Dandelion Wine is exported from.
Additionally, an independent map, similar to Enkanomiya, is set to debut alongside Dornman Port: The Temple of Space. The Temple of Space is a mysterious realm linked to the unknown god who stopped the Traveler twins from leaving Teyvat at the beginning of the game, the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles–aptly known by the name of Asmoday.
The special area will be unlockable through an exploration of the abandoned sanatorium at the peak of Dornman Port. This map features areas that focus on different civilisations, and a closer step to Asmoday's reality.

Dornman Port will feature a new boss in the Watcher: Fallen Vigil. Defeating this boss will provide level up materials for Linnea.
Genshin Impact Version Luna VI events
The main event for Version Luna VI, Where Waves Meet the Reef is bringing us into the nitty gritty of business in Nod-Krai. Participating in the event will yield players the chance to invite the 4-star Nod-Krai character Jahoda into their parties for free.
The main event will feature a number of mini games that will also reward players with tons of treasure!
