Genshin Impact has unveiled the new playable character coming to the next update of the game in Version Luna VI: Linnea. Linnea will be a Geo character affiliated with the region of Nod-Krai, so instead of a Vision, she wields a Moon Wheel. It is unconfirmed what weapon she prefers to use in combat.
Moon Wheel Geo gets new character
Linnea will become the third Geo character who will likely abide by the new elemental reactions system introduced to Genshin Impact with the arrival of Nod-Krai. She joins Zibai and Illuga as a Moonsign character who will take advantage of the Lunar-Crystallize reaction.
Not much has been revealed regarding Linnea as a playable character. However, it has been established that she acts as an advisor to the Adventurer's Guild. She is described as a “lively Lady Adventurer” who "brought the most wondrous voices from different corners of the world". Other information about Linnea reveals that she is attuned to Life Sciences–likely a reference to her namesake, the 18th century Swedish biologist Carl Linnaeus, who formalised binomial nomenclature.
Linnea is considered an “inhuman” due to her fae lineage, apparent with the small wings atop her head. Aino adores Linnea because she has a lot of “cool stories” to tell, although she also observes that Linnea has an apparent dislike for machineries and robots, which Aino attributes to “not being Linnea's style”. This observation is solidified through Ineffa, who shares that Linnea runs away when she sees her.
Her interest for living things is exemplified through her interactions with Illuga's messenger bird, Aedon. According to Illuga, Linnea traumatised the bird by excitedly pouncing on him, causing Aedon to flee whenever Linnea is present.
Going by how Genshin Impact reveals its upcoming playable characters, it is likely that Linnea will be a 5-star character.
