Ghost joins North America's GamerLegion ahead of pivotal qualifier season

Ghost enters the North American scene with GamerLegion, replacing Yamsun on the official lineup.

Malaysian carry player Daniel Chan “Ghost” Kok Hong has joined forces with North American Dota 2 team GamerLegion ahead of a pivotal competitive period, as teams prepare for upcoming landmark events such the Dota 2 Esports World Cup and The International (TI) 2026.

Ghost takes over the position 1 role, which has been uncertain for some time. The position was previously held by Luke “YamSun” Wang, who had long played alongside the GamerLegion line-up–previously under Wildcard–and was moved to the inactive roster on 5 March. For a short period, Indji “Shad” Lub trialled in the role until Ghost was officially announced.

What is the current GamerLegion Dota 2 roster?

With Ghost stepping in, GamerLegion’s Dota 2 roster is now as follows:

  1. Daniel Chan “Ghost” Kok Hong
  2. Francis “RCY” Fundemera
  3. Victor “Fayde” Zuev
  4. Danilo “Bignum-” Shehovstov
  5. PAUL “Speeed” BOCCHICCHIO

GamerLegion shifts roster ahead of TI and EWC qualifiers

The Dota 2 competitive season is heading into a crucial phase, with major qualifiers for the Dota 2 Esports World Cup and The International 2026 fast approaching. Several teams have made last-minute changes in hopes of delivering strong performances including Natus Vincere

GamerLegion now joins this movement with a significant addition to its line-up, welcoming Ghost into its lineup. The player notably helped Nigma Galaxy secure a top-six finish at TI 2025, and many attributed the team’s subsequent loss of momentum to his departure around the same time. Since then, he has stood in for several teams over recent months, including MOUZ, Myth Avenue Gaming, and most recently Yakult Brothers at ESL One Birmingham 2026.

The carry player has established a strong presence across multiple regions, and his move to North America marks a new chapter in his career. His arrival will undoubtedly strengthen GamerLegion’s arsenal, bringing both experience and an impressive track record.

This will be GamerLegion’s first attempt at competing on Dota 2’s biggest stages following the organisation’s entry into the game last November.
