TEAM VISION claim second TI 2026 slot in European qualifier with victory over VP

Despite not earning a direct invite, TEAM VISION are considered one of the biggest favourites to claim the Aegis of Champions in The International 2026.

Eastern European Dota 2 powerhouse TEAM VISION (formerly PARIVISION) are the second team to secure a spot in The International (TI) 2026 through the European qualifier after they defeated Virtus.pro (VP), 2-1, in the third round of the upper bracket on Friday (26 June).

TEAM VISION will join two-time TI champions Team Spirit as the first teams to secure a spot in TI 2026 through the new combined European qualifier, which featured teams from both Western and Eastern Europe. Two more teams will qualify for this year's Dota 2 world championship tournament through the lower bracket on Sunday (28 June).

TEAM VISION's journey this season so far

Following their third place finish in TI 2025, PARIVISION entered the 2025-2026 competitive season in poor form. They finished in 9th-11th in FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 in October 2025 and 5th-6th in PGL Wallachia Season 6 the next month. Following those disappointing results, the team parted ways with coach Filipe “Astini” Ribeiro.

Legendary captain and TI 2011 champion Clement “Puppey” Ivanov then trialed as PARIVISION's coach for DreamLeague Season 27, where the team finished in a respectable third place to close out 2025.

PARIVISION started 2026 by overhauling its roster, officially instating Puppey as their coach and benching offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin to make way for Valery “SSS” Lazarev

PARIVISION produced mix results following those moves, finishing sixth in DreamLeague Season 28 in February then 9th-11th in PGL Wallachia Season 7 and fourth in ESL One Birmingham 2026 in March. In April, they won the Tier 2 tournament PREMIER SERIES and finished 5th-6th in PGL Wallachia Season 8.

With the season nearing its climactic period, PARIVISION made another roster change by moving SSS to its inactive roster and tapping Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko as their stand-in for their next three tournaments.

The addition of Noticed seems to have galvanised PARIVISION as they won back-to-back tournaments in May, starting with the Tier 2 event 1win Essence I then followed up by DreamLeague Season 29. In BLAST Slam VII, PARIVISION were seen as the biggest favourites and looked to be in prime position to claim consecutive Tier 1 tournament victories. However, the team were forced to miss out on the Playoffs due to visa issues and forfeited the tournament in 7th-8th place.

While their run in BLAST Slam VII came to an unfortunate end, PARIVISION had regained their place at the top of the scene and were considered among the biggest contenders for the Aegis of Champions in TI 2026. However, PARIVISION were not among the teams that received a direct invite to the tournament and had to earn their place through the new European qualifiers.

Ahead of the TI 2026 European qualifiers, the team fully integrated Noticed to the roster and rebranded to TEAM VISION to comply with Valve regulations that strictly prohibited gambling sponsors in TI. Betting company Parimatch is notably the primary sponsor of PARIVISION.

TEAM VISION were expected to cruise through the qualifier, doing just that in the first two rounds of the upper bracket where they swept aside 4ikibamboni and Power Rangers. That set them up for a showdown against VP in the third round of the upper bracket for a spot in TI 2026.

TEAM VISION defeat VP to secure their spot in TI 2026

TEAM VISION opened their qualification series by drafting a high-tempo lineup anchored by a carry Nature's Prophet for Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov, Pangolier for Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko, and Axe for Noticed. VP answered with an aggressive lineup of their own featuring Enzo “Timado” Gianoli on Shadow Fiend, Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop on Ember Spirit, and Jonáš “SabeRLighT-” Volek on Centaur Warrunner.

While TEAM VISION held the lead for most of the game, VP won the crucial late game teamfights by repeatedly taking down Satanic and eventually stealing the game one win after 49 minutes of action. Timado paced his team's 30-25 kill lead with 15 kills and four assists on four deaths while Abed had 10 kills and assists apiece against two deaths.

TEAM VISION were quick to shake off their game one loss by stomping VP to the tune of a 28-11 kill lead in 41 minutes, sending the match to a deciding game three. No[o]ne on Earth Spirit led the way for TEAM VISION in game two with 11 kills and assists apiece on three deaths while Satanic on Tiny finished with nine kills and nine assists on just one death.

TEAM VISION then carried their momentum into game three, notably blindsiding VP in the draft with a last-pick Meepo for Satanic. That surprise Meepo pick acted as the spearhead for a highly-aggressive lineup that also featured No[o]ne on Earth Spirit and Noticed on Axe, designed to counter VP's late game-focused draft anchored by Timado's Spectre.

TEAM VISION flawlessly executed their strategy, as they utterly shut down Timado by dumping 10 deaths on him and even preventing him from getting Radiance until the game was well out of reach. Despite VP's best efforts to mount a comeback, they could do little to stop TEAM VISION from forcing the ‘GG’ call out of them after just 28 minutes of action.

Noticed fueled his team's overwhelming 29-8 kill lead in the closeout game with 14 kills and seven assists on two deaths. No[o]ne added a clean five kills and 12 assists while Satanic finished with seven kills and four assists on two deaths.

With their victory, TEAM VISION became the second team to secure a spot in TI 2026 after Team Spirit, who defeated Nigma Galaxy in their own qualification match earlier in the day. VP will have another shot at qualifying for TI 2026 in the fourth round of the lower bracket.
