PARIVISION has parted ways with coach Astini just one week before DreamLeague Season 27.
Renowned Dota 2 coach Filipe Astini has departed
PARIVISION, stepping down from the coaching role he has held since the current lineup’s formation in October 2024. He posted an abrupt announcement regarding his exit, simultaneously stating that he is now available for coaching opportunities elsewhere.
“I am parting ways with Pari. I want to thank the organization and players for the time we had together. Looking for a team as Head Coach for 2026, any region. Given the proximity of events, I am also open to remotely standing in as a second coach/analyst for the upcoming DreamLeague,” Astini wrote on X/Twitter.
PARIVISION later followed with an official statement, bidding him farewell and expressing gratitude for his contributions throughout their dominant previous season.
Astini’s departure marks a significant shift in PARIVISION’s team dynamics. The team is one of the few high-profile squads that did not undergo any roster changes after The International 2025, remaining intact since January. However, the rocky change occurred only a few tournaments into the 2025/2026 season.
The decision to release Astini likely stems from PARIVISION’s recent turbulent performances, including a disappointing 9th–11th place finish at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and a modest Top 6 result at PGL Wallachia Season 6. These follow a strong run at TI 2025, where the team finished third, behind Xtreme Gaming.
Their recent underwhelming form stands in stark contrast to their dominance last season. Widely considered one of the top-performing teams of the 2024–2025 season, PARIVISION secured three major titles–ESL One Bangkok, ESL One Raleigh, and DreamLeague Season 26–and consistently placed on the podium in other major events, including a third-place finish at the landmark Dota 2 Esports World Cup.
Astini looks for a new home
Astini remains one of the most known coaches in the Dota 2 scene, particularly in South America. The Brazilian notably coached
FURIA Esports in 2019 before moving to Eastern Europe for a brief stint with
B8, later returning to his home region.
He also actively livestreamed and commentated matches, plus worked with Valve as broadcast talent at TI 2019, serving on the first official Portuguese-language panel.
His coaching career gained further momentum when he guided
Nouns Esports to a Top 8 finish at TI 2023, and later
Cloud9 to a Top 6 finish at TI 2024.
Following Cloud9’s disbandment, Astini and several of its players–Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko and
Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin–joined the newly formed PARIVISION. The team quickly achieved impressive results and asserted themselves among the world’s top contenders.
Unfortunately for the coach, his journey with PARIVISION comes to an end after more than a year with the organization. Astini has stated that he is currently seeking new coaching opportunities moving forward.
