What is the story chapter of Neverness to Everness Version 1.3?

Version 1.3 will bring a new story chapter, which rewinds time to after Version 1.1’s “Corridor of Echoes” ended. The Version 1.3 chapter, called “Rising From the Moonlit Fog”, will tie together all the previous chapters and bring the storyline of the antagonist faction Scarlet Letter to an end.

The chapter will take place in a new location anomaly called Fogden, where the Appraisers, members of Eibon, and the Bureau will team up to take down Madam T and the Scarlet Letter in what is called the Fogden Game.

It is teased that Hotori, who has been laying low in the previous chapters, will play a big role in this chapter. Members of ETD-6, Chaos and Lingko, will also be present, alongside Nitsa, who will make her first proper appearance in NTE. Zankou also appears as a centrepiece in Version 1.3's story.

Watch a glimpse of Zankou's past in her animated short below:

NTE Version 1.3 banners revealed including re-runs

New character and weapon banners will open up across Version 1.3, and two limited-time banners will also make a return! As announced previously, Zankou of the Scarlet Letter and Lingko of ETD-6 will become playable characters, obtainable through their respective limited-time banners. Nanally and Hotori’s banners will also return simultaneously.

Zankou’s limited-time banner, “Alluring Shadows”, will run in the first half of Version 1.3, from 19 August to 9 September. During the same period, Nanally’s Ichi-Daime banner will run, carrying over pulls from the previous time it was available.

In the second half of Version 1.3, Lingko’s limited-time banner, “Surfing All Channels”, will open, running from 9 to 30 September. Simultaneously, Hotori’s “Misty Tipsy Style” banner will also return, carrying over pulls from the previous time it ran.

As per usual, the new characters will come alongside their respective dedicated Arc banners–Zankou’s Spellbound Special and Lingko’s Chorus Special–together with the returning characters’ Arcs: Nanally’s Tiger Special and Hotori’s Bright Moon Special.

If you’re planning to pull for Zankou or Lingko, make sure to start stacking up your upgrade materials. Here’s what Zankou and Lingko need to level up:

  • Zankou: Eternal Memory from Anomaly Pilgrimage: Debt Collector; Nestguard Fragment from Anomaly Hunt: Call of the Lost.

It is said that Zankou won’t be around in Hethereau after the Version 1.3 story ends–likely linked to how the story concludes–which means her City Encounters and City Hangouts will not yet be available. However, her other interactions with Appraisers, including Ride-Along and Move In, can still be used.

Outfits for Zankou and Lingko have also been revealed. Zankou will have three outfits:

  • Twilight Noir – Available in the Mall
  • Autumn Vignette – Obtainable by accumulating rolls in Zankou’s Skin Perks
  • Moonlit Courtyard – Reach Bond Level 10 with Zankou

Meanwhile, Lingko, apart from her loungewear, will have two obtainable outfits:

  • Surfing Among Stars – Obtainable by accumulating rolls in Lingko’s Skin Perks
  • Faded Spring – Available in the Mall
