Xtreme Gaming will face Team Falcons in the Grand Finals of The International 2025

Xtreme Gaming stand one step away from the Aegis of Champions as they eliminate PARIVISION to march toward the Grand Finals of The International 2025.

The crowd at Hamburg’s Barclays Arena erupted as Xtreme Gaming, China’s last remaining hope, secured their spot in the Grand Finals of The International (TI) 2025. The team sent Eastern European powerhouse PARIVISION packing in third place after pulling off a 2-1 reverse sweep, successfully completing their lower bracket run and locking in a Top 2 finish.

Meanwhile, PARIVISION exited the tournament with over US$344,000 in winnings. The relatively new team have thrived this season with three LAN titles bagged, including at ESL One Bangkok and ESL One Raleigh. Now a third-place finish adds on to their impressive track record–especially remarkable for the 17-year-old rising star, Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov, who delivered a smashing TI debut.

The series initially went in favor of PARIVISION as they won in 45 minutes with an upper hand in drafts. But Xtreme Gaming locked in for the next two matches, winning the second map in a quick 35 minutes then outlasting a slow-burn decider game, ending the final map in 64 minutes.

With PARIVISION bowing out, the final clash of the Aegis is set between Xtreme Gaming and Team Falcons, who await formidably in the finale after cruising the upper bracket undefeated. With redemption on the line, Xtreme Gaming will carry the hopes of an entire region into their journey for the title of world champions.

For Wang “Ame” Chunyu, this marks his third appearance in a TI Grand Final, finishing as runner-ups in both 2018 and 2021. He also narrowly missed the stage in 2017 (4th place) and 2019 (3rd place). The Aegis has long eluded the legendary carry, earning him the moniker “The Uncrowned King.” After years of heartbreak, he is once again close to finally lifting the trophy. But he’s not alone on this journey. Xtreme Gaming’s stacked roster includes fellow veterans Hongcheng “Xm” Guo, Jing “Xxs” Lin, Zixing “XinQ” Zhao, and Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap—all elite players who, like Ame, have come close to TI glory.

Xtreme Gaming’s road to TI 2025 has been anything but easy. Overshadowed for much of the season by regional rivals Team Tidebound—who secured a direct invite—Xtreme were forced to fight their way through the Chinese regional qualifiers. But their persistence paid off.

They entered the championship in an incredible form, topping the Group Stage undefeated and clawing their way through the Playoffs after an early stumble against PARIVISION in the upper bracket. Their performance has been a showcase of discipline and raw expertise–but now they face their biggest test yet.

Team Falcons, renowned for dominating the 2024 season, have looked unstoppable in the latter half of this season. After a rocky start to 2025, they surged to the frontline by finishing second at the prestigious Esports World Cup Dota 2 competition, followed by a win at FISSURE Universe: Episode 6–the final event before TI 2025. The green team have peaked just in time for the big stage.

Still, Xtreme Gaming have reason to be confident. They were the only team–aside from Tidebound–to hand Falcons a loss, which occured during the Group Stage in one of the tournament’s most intense series. The question now: can they repeat that victory on the biggest stage of them all?
