Nineteen teams are now confirmed for DreamLeague Season 27, the first ESL Pro Tour event of the new season.

At present, there is no information available regarding the Division 2 circuit. However, the regional qualifiers have concluded, locking in the first eight teams in the tournament lineup. On 30 September, ESL also revealed the lineup of directly-invited teams.

DreamLeague Season 27 will set the tone for the new year's competitive landscape
The previous season concluded with
Team Falcons lifting the Aegis of Champions at Hamburg’s Barclays Arena, edging out
Xtreme Gaming 3-2 in one of the most intense grand finals in recent Dota 2 history.
With that chapter closed, the off-season arrived quickly–filled with rapid roster changes, as teams scrambled to prepare for qualifiers that began just one week after the championship.
While top-tier teams had the luxury of time–thanks to direct invitations–those just below the top level had to act fast. Some roster changes have already shown promise in early qualifiers, while others have fallen flat.
Virtus.pro is among the teams showing immediate results after forming a new roster. Dubbed "Virtus.pro International," the lineup notably includes several ex-Evil Geniuses players including Bulba, who has relocated to Europe to coach his former teammates Tal “Fly” Aizik and
Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop. The team secured a DreamLeague S27 slot by finishing second behind Natus Vincere in Western Europe (WEU)'s qualifier.
Also qualifying from Western Europe is AVULUS, a team that showed potential last season but faded as the year progressed. However, with the addition of former Team Liquid offlaner Jonáš “SabeRLighT-” Volek and rising midlaner
Artem “Lorenof” Melnick, AVULUS appears strong.
Eastern European squad Runa Team has qualified for DreamLeague Season 27 and quickly carried that momentum forward by securing a spot at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2--another major event. Comprised mostly of Tier 2 talent, the team appears poised to break into the top-tier scene this season.
In China, Yakult Brothers claimed the sole qualifier slot. However, their victory came amid the absence of regional powerhouses like
Xtreme Gaming and
Team Tidebound, both of whom have been inactive in the current qualifier season. UPDATE: Xtreme Gaming is revealed as part of the direct invite with a newly tweaked roster. However, Team Tidebound remain absent in the end-of-the-year stretch.
BOOM Esports, fresh off a surprise qualification to The International 2025, continued its strong form by taking down star-studded teams like
Execration and the newly-formed Team Aureus to qualify from Southeast Asia.
Meanwhile, Wildcard Gaming secured North America’s spot as expected, maintaining their status as the region’s top team.
In South America, a stack called Chimpanzini Bananini pulled off a surprise run, narrowly defeating
OG.LATAM in the final. The team notably features young talent, including TaiLung, a 2009-born midlaner. Their qualification to a Tier 1 tournament has sparked hope for emerging talent in the region.
That wraps up the eight teams that qualified for DreamLeague Season 27. Joining them are the recently announced direct invites, which include several top-tier teams such as Team Falcons, PARIVISION, Xtreme Gaming, and more.
Interestingly, despite ending the season on a high note with a 2nd-place finish at The International 2025, Xtreme Gaming has opted out of all upcoming LAN events. As it stands, DreamLeague Season 27 remains the only confirmed tournament for their new roster in the near future.
As the tournament draws closer, ESL is expected to announce the details for the Division 2 circuit in the near future to finalize all 24 participants in DreamLeague Season 27.
