Wildcard disbands Dota 2 roster
North America just can’t catch a break. The struggling region has lost its top-performing team as Wildcard disbands its Dota 2 roster, offering no clarification on whether it plans to rebuild with a new lineup or exit the Dota 2 scene entirely.
Earlier this year,
Wildcard acquired the self-made
Apex Genesis stack, made up primarily of American players. In a surprise run that defied expectations, Wildcard defeated the then-top NA team,
Shopify Rebellion, to qualify for The International, where they went on to deliver a respectable performance.
Despite their success, Wildcard has now decided to part ways with the roster. The players, however, have expressed their intention to stick together for future tournaments, returning to the Apex Genesis name as they seek new sponsorship opportunities.

Anatoly “boolk” Ivanov.
The organisation didn’t waste any time in unveiling its new lineup for the upcoming season. Just one day after the announcement, BetBoom introduced Ilja “Kiritych” Uljanow, a rising star in the CIS scene, as their new carry. They also brought in veteran coach

SabeRLighT leaves Team Liquid for AVULUS
TI 2024 champions
Team Liquid have benched offlaner Jonáš “SabeRLighT-” Volek, who will start the next season with
AVULUS. SabeRLighT's departure from Liquid comes after an abysmal 9th-13th place finish for the team in TI 2025, by far the worst placement of any Liquid squad in TI.
In a post on his personal X account, SabeRLighT said that he was loaned by Liquid to AVULUS to play in the upcoming set of qualifiers before he decides on “a permanent home for the rest of the [next] season.”
Talon Esports part ways with Jhocam

Enzo “Timado” Gianoli, Filipino mid laner
Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop, and Israeli position 5

MOUZ assembles notable talent in new roster
After appointing Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp as the head of
MOUZ’s new roster in April, the organisation has now finalized its lineup for the upcoming season, featuring several prominent names. The team welcomes Remco “Crystallis” Arets in the carry position; he was recently made inactive on Tundra Esports’ roster just a few days ago.
Nai Zheng “MidOne” Yeik, who has experienced a stagnant slump in recent years, will take on the midlane role. Former
Team Secret players Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan and
Daniyal “Yamich” Lazebnyy complete the roster. This lineup will be coached by ImmortalFaith.
HEROIC part ways with 4nalog and Wisper, welcomes Davai Lama

Heroic is undergoing a major roster shakeup heading into the new season. Midlaner João “4nalog” Giannini has departed from the team and is currently exploring new opportunities in Europe. Meanwhile,
Adrian “Wisper” Cespedes Dobles has also decided to step away from the roster. Rumors have it that Wisper is simply changing roles in HEROIC to fill in the midlane, but so far no official announcements indicate so.
Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn, who previously played with HEROIC throughout 2024, is returning to fill the offlane role.

Martin “Saksa” Sazdov to their inactive roster. Tundra notably finished 7th-8th in TI 2025, having been unable to compete with their full roster after
Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon failed to obtain a visa in time for the event in Hamburg, Germany.
Yopaj and Skem return to SEA to form Team Aureus alongside Tims
After
Shopify Rebellion disbanded its North America-based roster and departed the Dota 2 scene in late July, Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer and
Rolen Andre Gabriel “Skem” Ong have returned to their home region of Southeast Asia to form a new stack called ‘Team Aureus.’ Joining them are
Timothy “TIMS” Randrup (who seems to have already left

Gaimin Gladiators' Quinn retires
Gaimin Gladiators mid laner Quinn “Quinn” Callahan has retired from competitive play, saying he no longer wishes to commit to the relentless grind of professional play. With that said, Quinn will remain in the Dota 2 esports scene as a streamer and broadcast talent, with further plans to produce professional-level guides and content.
During his decade-long professional career, Quinn mostly played in North America before moving to Western Europe in 2022 to join Gaimin Gladiators in what would become the most successful stint. As Gaimin Gladiators' mid laner, Quinn won all three Major championships in the 2023 season–which were also the last three Dota 2 Majors ever–and finished second in TI in back-to-back years in 2023 and 2024.

Team Kukuys, with the rest of the roster featuring Yuri Dave “Yowe” Pacaña,
Joel “jwl” Pagkatotohan, and
Joshua “Kokz” Marano.
