Tundra Esports and HEROIC are the first two teams eliminated from the Playoffs of PGL Wallachia Season 6.
PGL Wallachia Season 6 kicked off its second day of Playoffs on 21 November, beginning with the first round of the Lower Bracket. It saw strong teams fight for their lives in the tournament, as
Tundra Esports clashed against
BetBoom Team and
Heroic squared off against
MOUZ. While all teams had plausible contention, the result panned out in favor of the relatively weaker opponents. Both Tundra Esports and HEROIC were handed defeats and ultimately exit the tournament in 7th-8th placement, taking home US$40,000 in contention.
Both teams exit the tournament with a 7th–8th placement, taking home $40,000 in consolation.
HEROIC settled with mild results
The elimination is certainly a bummer for HEROIC, who had been on a steady path toward consistent placements across recent tournaments. The South American juggernaut finished last season with a strong Top 6 result at The International 2025 and continued their momentum by winning FISSURE Universe: Episode 7 and placing Top 4 at BLAST Slam IV.
However, the team couldn't quite find their groove in Wallachia S6. Despite a great start during the Group Stage, in which HEROIC bagged wins against Tundra and Xtreme Gaming, the team failed to bounce off the momentum to make it far in the Playoffs. The team suffered a 0-2 loss against Team Spirit, which knocked them down the Lower Bracket.
There, HEROIC were paired against MOUZ, a rising potential of the new season. Both teams exude similar performances during this event, but HEROIC boasts a better track record in terms of experience and overall results. However, this series showcased a stronger MOUZ as they ultimately outclassed the SA powerhouse and defeated them 2-0, sending them home.
Nevertheless, the result remains a respectable outcome for a lineup that is still relatively new among top contenders, having been formed only last season and earning their first Tier 1 win in October of last year.
A rough performance decline for Tundra
While a 7th-8th placement may feel like a disappointment for HEROIC, the result hits even harder for Tundra Esports.
The dominant Western European organisation had just lifted its first trophy of the season by winning BLAST Slam IV, defeating world champions
Team Falcons in the process. With a fresh win under their belt, Tundra entered Wallachia S6 in excellent form and were the favorites of the event.
However, Tundra opened with a lackluster Group Stage run, suffering losses to relatively weaker teams in HEROIC and
OG. Expectations dropped, and their Playoffs performance showed they couldn’t regain their footing. In the first round of Playoffs, the team suffered a devastating 0-2 loss to Team Liquid, tumbling down to the Lower Bracket. They were then eliminated by BetBoom Team in a narrow 1-2 loss–bowing out of the tournament much earlier than anticipated.
The stark difference in Tundra's performance at BLAST Slam IV and Wallachia S6 is odd and it seem like the team need more time to keep up consistency.
While the two teams bow out of Wallachia S6, BetBoom Team and MOUZ advance to the next stage. They will face
PARIVISION and OG, respectively. The road to the champion title continues. The final six teams resume their fight for the trophy and the biggest slice of the US$1 million prize pool today.
