BetBoom Team have dropped two members from its active roster ahead of the new Dota 2 season.
Amid the ongoing Dota 2 roster shuffle period, Eastern European (EEU)'s
BetBoom Team have announced a significant change as carry player Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko has been moved to the inactive roster. In addition, the team has parted ways with coach boolk, leaving two vacant spots ahead of the 2025/2026 season.
This move comes as a surprise, as BetBoom Team had just concluded its most successful season to date. In the past year, they secured titles at BLAST Slam I, FISSURE Universe: Episode 4, and PGL Wallachia Season 5. They also delivered a strong performance at The International 2025, finishing 4th behind
Team Falcons,
Xtreme Gaming, and
PARIVISION.
Despite that success, BetBoom are still affected by the roster shuffle storm. As the team prepares for the new season, which begins very shortly, they have officially benched their carry player and parted ways with their coach.
Current BetBoom Team Dota 2 roster:
Ilja “Kiritych” Uljanow (Just confirmed)
Danil “gpk” Skutin
Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin
Vitalie “Save-” Melnic
Vladislav “Kataomi`” Semenov
Pure benched after strong season with BetBoom
After just over a year with the team, Pure has officially been placed on BetBoom’s inactive roster.
A young standout in the CIS region, Pure has been brilliant throughout most of his five-year career, though he had his fair share of controversies. He rose to prominence in 2022 with
Virtus.pro, but was removed from the team after drawing a provocative symbol during an official match. He later had a short stint with
Entity, and eventually joined BetBoom in September 2023.
Pure’s most notable achievement came during TI 2024, where he helped
Tundra Esports secure a 3rd place finish. The following season, he returned to BetBoom Team and enjoyed his best season yet–winning multiple titles and finishing 4th at TI 2025.
Despite that success, BetBoom have opted for change, benching Pure and ending their collaboration with boolk, who had served as the team’s coach since early 2023.
What's next for BetBoom Team?
With the first tournaments of the new season quickly approaching, BetBoom will need to announce replacements soon. The team is directly invited to both FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 and BLAST Slam IV, both of which take place in late October. They're also likely to receive invites to PGL Wallachia Season 6 in November and DreamLeague Season 27 in December.
As for potential replacements, rumors suggest BetBoom may be eyeing rising Eastern European carry talent such as Ilja “Kiritych” Uljanow or
bottega for the carry role. Meanwhile, there's speculation that
Clement “Puppey” Ivanov could take over the vacant coaching position. The theory is bolstered with
Team Secret's long inactive state as Puppey stands alone in its Dota 2 roster. But note that these are just rumors, so take them with a grain of salt.
UPDATE: BetBoom Team confirm Kiritych and rmN- as new members
We can officially let go of the copium. BetBoom Team have revealed the team's new coach, signing Roman “rmN-” Paley to fill in boolk's former spot. rmN- is a veteran Dota 2 player who is best known for his time with
Nigma Galaxy, mainly as their coach. He has coached the Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi squad since their time in
Team Liquid up until their time in Nigma Galaxy in 2024. He has also briefly stood in for the team several times. Signing with BetBoom marks rmN-'s first time coaching for a new team.
Replacing Pure in the carry role is Kiritych, a former
Virtus.pro player who notably helped the team reach a Top 8 finish at The International 2023. In the most recent season, he spent time on loan across various teams and stacks, though with limited success.
While there is a clear reputation gap between Pure and Kiritych, the latter now has a major opportunity to prove himself as he joins one of the top teams in the world and prepares to compete at the highest level.
