Ahead of the 2025-2026 season, Xtreme Gaming replaces Xm and XinQ with NothingToSay and Fy respectively.
Chinese powerhouse
Xtreme Gaming has revealed a major Dota 2 roster reshuffle ahead of the 2025-2026 competitive season, parting ways with midlaner Hongcheng “Xm” Guo and position 4 support
Zixing “XinQ” Zhao. Filling their spots are two equally elite names in the Chinese scene–
Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang and
Xu “fy” Linsen.
Xtreme Gaming had a roller-coaster season in 2024/2025–claiming a handful of lower-tier tournament wins while also suffering scattered, inconsistent results. Despite that, the team hit peak form just in time for The International (TI) 2025, cruising through the Group Stage and dominating the Playoffs.
Unfortunately, their dream run fell just short. Xtreme Gaming lost a heartbreaking fifth map in the grand finals to
Team Falcons, settling for a bittersweet second-place finish.
While the loss stung, especially for Wang “Ame” Chunyu who was handed his third finals defeat, Xtreme’s performance at TI far exceeded expectations and had reinforced their status. Heading into the new season, many looked forward to whether the team would remain intact or opt for a reshuffle.
After weeks of silence, Xtreme Gaming has now confirmed its direction–retaining three members while adding two prominent and very familiar players.
Xtreme Gaming’s Dota 2 roster for the 2025/2026 season is as follows:
- Ame
- NothingToSay
Jing “Xxs” Lin
- fy
Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap
Ning “xiao8” Zhang- Coach
NothingToSay and fy join Xtreme Gaming for the new season
Xtreme’s roster changes bring major playmakers into the spotlight.
Malaysia’s NothingToSay takes over the midlane after previously playing for
Team Tidebound, another Chinese squad that impressed during TI 2025. With a Dota 2 Major title and two Top 3 finishes at The International, NothingToSay brings proven talent into the team.
But the bigger headline is the return of fy to competitive play after more than a year of absence.
Fy found his breakthrough with Vici Gaming, finishing as a runner-up at TI 2014 in his debut appearance. Over the years, he became one of Dota 2’s most iconic support players, claiming two Major championships and earning five Top 4 finishes at The International.
Since a disappointing season with
Azure Ray in 2024, fy has remained mostly inactive–his only appearance being in a Tier 3 event with a casual stack. Now, he’s back and rejoining the top tier of competitive Dota 2 with one of China’s strongest lineups.
With NothingToSay and fy entering the lineup, Xm and XinQ officially exit the squad. As of now, there are no announcements regarding where the two head next.
Xtreme Gaming's new lineup to debut in DreamLeague Season 27
While several tournaments are lined up for the end of the year, Xtreme Gaming has only been confirmed for DreamLeague Season 27. Typically, top-performing teams from The International receive direct invites to major events, but it appears that Xtreme Gaming has opted out of all upcoming LAN tournaments for now, including FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2, BLAST Slam IV, and PGL Wallachia Season 6.
DreamLeague Season 27, an online event, is scheduled to run from 10 to 21 December. It will serve as both the first ESL Pro Tour (EPT) event of the new season and the final tournament of the calendar year. Xtreme Gaming has been announced among the direct invites, joining other high-profile teams such as Team Falcons,
Team Spirit,
Team Liquid, and more.
