DPC 2021 Season 2; Four series to look forward to this week

As we enter the third week of the DPC 2021 Season 2, there are a few series that we are excited to watch throughout the week.

At this point of the DPC 2021 it feels as if all matches are now becoming qualifiers for The International. There is a lot riding on the line for the teams. Landing a spot in the next Major can solidify a place at TI. Taking the top seed is a guarantee for a good chunk of DPC points. A lower seed means potential for all or none. For other teams, failing to qualify could mean a team's only hope will be via the regional qualifiers.

With that in mind, we are looking at a few series this week that are bound to be thrilling.

Brame vs Team Liquid Tuesday, April 27 at 18:00 CEST

Brame climbed their way into the upper-division from the lower-division. So far they are sitting in an impressive third place and looking like they belong rubbing shoulders among the high-caliber teams. What makes their next series even more exciting though, is they will be going up against Team Liquid featuring the return of Syed "SumaiL" Hassan as he steps into the team temporarily for Samuel "Boxi" Svahn. Which position SumaiL will play and how his synergy will lineup will be interesting to see. Brame has the potential to take down Team Liquid completely and go into the halfway point as strong contenders or Team Liquid could overpower the Greek-led squad moving their way up the ladder towards another Major appearance this year.

Team Secret vs Alliance Wednesday, April 28 at 18:00 CEST

Team Secret always seems to be on top, a threat to every team in the European division. However, Alliance is undefeated so far with some absolutely stunning plays and matches to date. A match-up between these two teams promises to be nail-biting and full of surprises.

beastcoast vs Thunder Awaken Friday, April 30 at 21:00 CEST

beastcoast had carved out a niche for themselves on an international level over the past few years. They forged the way for the South American region and forced everyone to take note of this passionate and talented region. Thunder Predator stole the show and fan's hearts at Singapore Major when they tromped on various top-tier teams and took an impressive 5-6th place finish. Both teams are undefeated in their series, though beastcoast has the edge having not lost a single match. Fans will be in for a treat watching these two teams clash no matter the outcome.

Natus Vincere vs Virtus.pro Sunday, May 2 at 18:00 CEST

The two most iconic teams in the CIS/Eastern European region will go head to head. Na'Vi missed out on the last Major when they had to withdraw from competing amid Coronavirus travel complications. They also had a roster change that was not well received by many when Viktor “GeneRaL” Nigrini was replaced by Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev. They have a lot to prove and even more to gain by passing VP in the rankings halfway through the season.
