Dota 2 news week in review: April 4th

For those who might have missed the most important news from the past week in competitive Dota 2 scene, here is a short recap.

Shazam claims BTS Americas #4 title

Shazam and Infamous meet in the grand finals of BTS Americas Seson 4 on 27th of March. Playing their way up to the final of BTS Americas #4, both teams had bested some impressive teams such as Void Boys, Animal Kingdom and Team Freedom and others.

Empire replaced by Polarity at Epicenter European qualifiers

After a complete revision of Empire's Dota2 roster, they were disqualified from the EPICENTER tournament. However, ESL have decided exactly the opposite for Empire who got to keep their spot at ESL One Manila LAN event.

Fnatic rout MVP Phoenix to qualify for Epicenter Moscow

When fans of SEA Dota sat down to witness MVP.Phoenix and Fnatic, two of the strongest teams of the region, duke it out, they hoped for a tense series. Whilst game one gave them what they desired, MVP.Phoenix looked overwhelmed in the following two games. Fnatic closed out the series 3-0.

The entire team list for WePlay Dota 2 League Season 3 has been announced

The championships for season 3 of the WePlay Dota 2 league are set to kick off on the 29th of April in Kiev, Ukraine. Eight teams will go head to head for over two hundred thousand dollars in prize money and the title of WePlay Dota 2 league champions.

The International 6 dates revealed

The main event of the most anticipated Dota 2 tournament of the year, The International 2016 will run from August 8th to August 13th at the same KeyArena in Seattle. Along with the official dates announcement Valve has also released information on the tickets sale for the live audience. This year’s International will cost $75 for the first four days of the event (Midweek ticket) while the last two days access will cost $100 (Finals ticket), which makes a total of $175 for the whole event.  The Midweek ticket holders will be able to watch the finals only from an outdoor viewing area on the KeyArena grounds.

Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.com starting April 7th at 10:00 PM, Seattle time and will be limited to 5 of each type per household.

Dota 2 Canada Cup returns with its 7th Season

Featuring a slight format change but returning with the same impressive $20,000 starting prize pool, Dota 2 Canada Cup will begin the qualifiers for the seventh season this month, on 23rd of April.
