ESL have announced European powerhouse Team Secret as the first out of three directly invited teams for the second ESL One Frankfurt scheduled to begin on June 21st this year.
The details of the ESL One Frankfurt qualifiers were only announced last week but Team Secret have already been unveiled as the first directly invited team to the Commerzbank-Arena based tournament. Secret had a good run through the recent Asia Championships with a flawless 15-0 record during the group stage and finishing in third place. The team debuted in competition at ESL One New York back in October last year, where they finished joint third and fourth.
Their invite means that all five players of the current roster have been invited to all three ESL One Dota tournaments. Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov and Kuro 'Kuroky' Salehi Takhasomi made one appearance for Natus Vincere before joining the team, Ludwig 'zai' Wåhlberg and Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev made two appearances for Evil Geniuses while Gustav 's4' Magnusson appeared for Alliance during the original Frankfurt based tournament.
It's expected that the final two direct invites for the tournament will be announced over the next few weeks, while the qualifiers for the European, Chinese and South East Asian regions will take place later this year.
