After two years, CS:GO Major is back; 24 teams from around the world will be battling in Stockholm to compete for a share of the $2,000,000 prize pool

Stockholm will be hosting the CS:GO Major tournament this coming October 26. A city associated with the Counter-Strike community; the Swedish capital will see 24 teams converging in the Swedish capital for the first Major in two years. After nearly 2 years of no Major championship, PGL will have the honor to run the first Major in 24 months.
13 days of non-stop CS:GO will be played at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, where dreams will be created – and destroyed.
It will also be the first major LAN event after the cancellation of Rio 2020, as well as the first Major in a while to have spectators cheering for their favourite team. With a prize pool of $2,000,000, it is the biggest prize pool ever for a Major event.

Prize Pool
The total prize pool clocks in at $2,000,00. The breakdown of the prize money is as listed in our illustration above.
Along with the prize money, the top 22 teams will be given ESL Pro Tour points while the top 8 teams will receive BLAST Premier points, with the winner of Majors Stockholm seeded to the BLAST Premier: World Final in December.
