Spyro: A Realm Beyond unveils Arcadian Vale as one of its earliest regions.
In celebration of Spyro Community Day, Activision has given fans another look at the upcoming Spyro title. The studio unveiled one of the regions players will explore in Spyro: A Realm Beyond, known as the Arcadian Vale.

Activision announced Spyro: A Realm Beyond three months ago, with Toys for Bob at the helm of the project. The studio has previously worked on 2011’s Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy in 2018. This new entry marks another addition to the long-running franchise, which dates back to the original game in 1998.
Spyro: A Realm Beyond will be an original adventure, but it retains many of the characteristics established by the Reignited Trilogy, with Tom Kenny reprising his role as the voice of Spyro. As teased by its title, A Realm Beyond will focus on broader world exploration, and the most significant change revealed so far is the introduction of free-flying for Spyro.
While that remained the extent of what we knew about Spyro’s next mainline adventure, Activision has now given fans a glimpse at one of its regions.
Arcadian Vale will be one of the earliest regions players can explore. The snapshot shared on Activision's blog showcases a nature-centric landscape featuring waterfalls cascading from cliffs, ancient stone structures, and weathered monuments scattered throughout the area, exuding a calm and serene atmosphere.
“From curious critters to cheerful fodder creatures, no detail of Arcadian Vale is too small. Every corner captures the same sense of warmth, whimsy, and personality that fans have come to love and expect from Spyro and his universe. The Toys for Bob team have paid special attention to creating a charming world that feels inviting at every scale, all the way down to its smallest inhabitants,” the blog stated.
Development appears to be progressing smoothly, with the game on course to meet its planned Spring 2027 release window. Spyro: A Realm Beyond will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
