Razer Domination Tournament Finished

After almost a month of group and playoff action it came down to the final two players out of 16, DeMusliM and DIMAGA.

The first game was on Steppes of War. DeMusliM took the first game with ease taking the advantage early on when he was able to take out DIMAGA's expansion. DIMAGA was not able to level the playing field at any time and eventually fell to DeMusliM's growing forces.

The second match was on Metalopolis. This game however was ended quite quickly as complications with lag caused both players to play out of their norm. DeMusliM decided to do a four barracks push in an attempt to end the game quick due to the lag, but without the ability to micro his Marine and SCV force fell to the opposing Zergling forces.

The series was then tied and DeMusliM was given a moment to collect himself and cool off from his frustration with the second game. The third game would be on Blistering Sands.

DIMAGA opened with three Queens before his Lair tech. This would prove beneficial to him as DeMusliM would tech into Hellions from a Reactored Factory and two Starports to pump out Banshees. The Hellions and Banshee would prove to be quite effective in keeping DIMAGA's Drone count down, but DIMAGA was able to hold his own by pumping out Queens and teching to Mutalisks.

DIMAGA would only tech into Mutalisks to stop the onslaught from the Banshees and instead massed Hydralisks and Roaches. DeMusliM would also switch army composition into a Marauder, Marine, and Medivac (MMM) combination. Despite having 1/1 upgrades in his final battle against DIMAGA's army, DeMusliM forgot or decided not to upgrade Combat Shields for his Marines which would have given his 40+ Marines at the time an extra 10 HP.

DeMusliM's army would fall in the face of a much larger army and several Fungal Growths from Infestors. DIMAGA took game 3.

Game 4 was played on Lost Temple. Spawning at 3 and 6'o-clock, DeMusliM decided he would try his earlier strategy on Metalopolis again. This time he was much more successful and sent the match into the fifth and final game of the match.

The winner of the Razer Domination tournament would be decided quickly. DeMulisM opted to apply early pressure with a few Marines and a Bunker at DIMAGA's fast expand but fell back instead when the Bunker could not be made. DeMusliM then opted for a fast expand while DIMAGA decided to pump out Zerglings rather than Drones to mine at his expansion. This game was ended quickly when DIMAGA had finished upgrading the speed on his Zerglings and he rushed in with a force of 26 Zerglings against a Bunked filled with Marines and 2 Hellions. DeMusliM would fall to this attack and would GG out of the game.

The finals started with Liquid'Nazgul and Strelok duking it out for third place and 50 Euros. Nazgul would take the match, 3-2 the final score. DeMusliM received 100 Euros and DIMAGA received the grand prize of 250 Euros.
