T1 come one step closer towards claiming a fourth straight Summoner's Cup.
Defending champions 
T1 are the fourth and final team to advance to the semifinals of the League of Legends World Championship 2026 after they defeated the LEC's 
Karmine Corp (KC), 3-1, in their best-of-five quarterfinals match on Saturday (7 November).
With their victory, T1 have guaranteed themselves at least a 3rd-4th place finish and US$400,000 in winnings. They also come one step closer towards securing a historic fourth straight Summoner's Cup and the organisation's seventh world championship title overall. T1 will next face LPL powerhouse 
Bilibili Gaming (BLG) in the semifinals for a spot in the Worlds 2026 grand finals.
Meanwhile, KC bow out of Worlds 2026 in 5th-8th place and will take home US$300,000 in consolation. While they fall well short of the title, KC still gave a good account of themselves in Worlds 2026 by surviving the Play-Ins and the Swiss Stage to reach the Knockout Stage.
T1 and Karmine Corp's journey to the Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage
T1 entered Worlds 2026 as the LCK's third seed, which earned them a direct berth to the Swiss Stage. On the other hand, KC only managed a third place finish at LEC 2026 Summer and so had to start this year's world championship tournament in the Play-Ins. KC secured the final spot in the Swiss Stage by defeating 
Cloud9 KIA in the Play-In's opening round before taking down 
MVK Esports in back-to-back series to close out the preliminary stage.
Both T1 and KC then kicked off their respective Swiss Stage campaigns with a win, with T1 taking down the CBLOL's 
LOS while KC scored an upset over LPL top seed 
Anyone's Legend. Both sides then suffered a loss in Round 2, as T1 fell to regional rivals 
Dplus KIA while KC were defeated by the LCS' 
LYON.
In Round 3, T1 bounced back by defeating the LCP's 
CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) to get in position for a spot in the Knockout Stage in the next round. However, KC suffered a second straight loss at the hands of BLG, putting them at risk of elimination.
Round 4 then saw T1 secure their spot in the main event after they soundly swept 
Movistar KOI (MKOI). Meanwhile, KC staved off elimination by knocking out CFO and advance to a do-or-die match in Round 5. KC completed their journey from the Play-Ins to the Knockout Stage by sweeping MKOI.
