Team Liquid

If you've ever browsed a website relating to StarCraft or StarCraft 2, then TeamLiquid was probably near the top of your list to check. They've always had their foot in the pro-gaming scene since the time before Korea took over the universe. Once the SC2 beta came to be, we saw a revival from "Pro-Gaming News" to "Pro-Gaming Team". They've shown their prowess in almost every tournament except for
the GSL, could the third season be their time to shine, without
their beloved "TheLittleOne" ?

Ret has been a major part of the StarCraft scene for years upon years, at one point even being invited to try out for eSTRO (a BW Pro-Gaming team). He competed in three Courage tournaments, with a Round of 8 being his highest finish. Though that's all in the past as we're on to a new game, and a new Ret. With his past behind him, and a recent 7th place finish at National MLG Championship is Dallas Texas, he looked more than ready to show his skill on a global scale.

Ret has been quite hot as of late.

A relative new comer to the "pro" side of StarCraft, HuK made a name for himself during the Beta and has since added more fans to his fanclub than Motherships he has rushed. He is on the list for a lot of people as the one to watch and rightfully so, though his love for getting the crowd involved, could it be a crutch or a way to let him live up to his idol, Boxer?

He dominated in North America, can he continue in Korea?

Within Team Liquid, it's a true story of wait and good things will come. He was a moderator for the longest time, and apart of Dream.T) on Broodwar but the past means nothing. He was picked up by Liquid and has since shown extremely strong play. Recently taking first at MLG Dallas, he surprised a lot of people except for those that play with him. He hasn't managed to qualify for the first two GSLs, but he could be the "dark horse" of Team Liquid.

They say "third times a charm", he'll show them it's skill.

There are certain times when luck just isn't in your favour, HayprO would give Machine (from EG) a run for this title. HayprO hasn't had the best showings as of late, but that doesn't mean he still isn't a top Zerg. Going for his third attempt at the GSL he seems more poised than before, and with two new Liquid members in the oGS`TL house it may be just what HayprO needs.

He's been having some issues against Terran, but don't count him out.

Netherlands Liquid`Ret - Will qualify for GSL Season 3, going through a very tough bracket. Though he will meet up with a former BW Pro in the Round of 64 and will be knocked out in close 2-1 series. From this Ret will get a Korean account above ~2600 on the ladder.

Canada Liquid`HuK - Out of a lot of the gamers going to South Korea, HuK is getting the most mixed reviews. I have the feeling that he'll end up being in the same qualifying bracket as another foreigner who made the trip. Though if he doesn't, unless he meets up with a member of oGs or ST he should qualify. HuK will go out in the Round of 64 trying to Carrier rush a Zerg.

Sweden Liquid`Jinro - He's failed to qualify twice, but this time he'll make it through without having to feel a loss. From what we saw at MLG, he has improved ten fold and this will allow him to make it to at least the Round of 32. I feel he could easily go further, but he will make the Round of 32.

Sweden Liquid`HayprO - I hate to say this to all of the HayprO fans, and even to HayprO himself but I don't see him making it through his bracket. He's a very strong player, but as we saw in MLG he takes his losses very hard and seems to have issues bouncing back. HayprO will move back to Sweden shortly after GSL 3 starts.

Three qualify for the Round of 64, but only Jinro wins his first series with his fellow Liquid members cheering him on.
