ITW: 4K.ToD

[s]interview[/s]

It's definitely not new, but it's a really great interview. The French guy ToD, by many considered the best Human player in the world at the moment, was interviewed by bunny over at WCReplays.com, and I just feel we on GosuGamers need to make a news about it.

tod1.jpgThe interview is really huge. France Yoan 4K.ToD Merlo spoke with United States bunny from WCReplays.com for what must have taken an eternity. As many other Warcraft players Starcraft was a part of the background. "I first played Zerg in the beginning of BroodWar, then switched to Random because I liked all races, but in serious games I was mainly playing Terran in the end.", he explains. He also played Counter Strike before Warcraft entered his life.

Back and forth before 4K

He is now in the clan Four kings - [4K]. His way to the team is kind of long though. In the beginning he had no internet connection at home, but played from a PC café, and joined their team. Eventually he joined ArmaTeam - "that was when things started to get

Constantly trying to improve

"I keep myself learning constantly and ask myself how to improve. What I have been working on lately is accepting losses more and getting less upset when I lose.", ToD says. He also explains that watching a lot of replays and playing a lot is a must to get better. He also agreed on that he would never had been able to reach his current level without the time spent in Korea, where the days were mainly spent in front of the computer - prcatising, practising, practising. He also mentions the different mentalities Koreans and foreigner have. Non-korean players often have a tendency to flame a lot, don't say "GG" after a game, and things like that. Koreans are much more well mannered, and they look different on their playing.

Fans asking questions and an audio part

A bunch of questions asked by the fans were also answered. A lot of good questions, and most of them got very long and nice answers. One of the questions is about boxing, and we get to know about a really painful experience ToD had from that. He got kicked on the nuts so bad that his right leg was paralyzed for a month. Ouch!

ToD and bunny also made a shorter audio interview as a section of the interview. A funny and interesting part of the interview, if you ask me. The feeling gets more personal.

If you haven't read the interview yet, do so! It is great. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
