Starcraft in WCG 2004

A few days ago unconfirmed game titles for the World Cyber Games 2004 were published at various Starcraft sites. This list features changes such as Warcraft 3 having its expansion, and adding a few new titles as well. The best news, though, was that Starcraft: Brood War was still on the list. Many have feared that this would not be the case since this time the WCG will be hosted in San Francisco where the interest in Starcraft is not as glowing as in Seoul, South Korea.

However, WCG sent out a news e-mail yesterday confirming the titles which had been rumoured. This is the official list:



GosuGamers were responsible for the Swedish World Cyber Games preliminaries last year in Starcraft, and we will come back with more information for this year's tournament as soon as we have them. Notice though, that it's not confirmed whatsoever that there will be a Starcraft preliminary in Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Norway, which are the countries that would be affected if we hosted it this year again. We're doing all we can do to put Starcraft on the list, and we will report back to you immediately.

We know the WCG 2004 Game list news is a few days old but since this was such a great news we didn't want anyone to miss it.
