Yujiro Hanma looks just as ridiculously bulky in Tekken 8 as he does in the original manga.
Five months after announcing Yujiro Hanma as Tekken 8's fourth DLC character, Bandai Namco has finally given fans a first look at the Baki the Grappler antagonist reimagined in Tekken's universe. As you can see, the reveal is every bit as goosebump-inducing as his terrifying physique in the manga and anime.
The reveal of the Strongest Creature on Earth was tucked into the end of a four-minute gameplay trailer for the third DLC character, Roger Jr, at EVO France 2026. The marsupial fighter, a classic character in the Tekken universe, will join the game on 17 November, 2026.

New Yujiro Hanma trailer to be showcased at EVO Singapore
The world of Baki the Grappler is crossing over into Tekken 8, and the pairing feels almost too perfect, as both franchises explore family conflict in a world of over-the-top martial arts.
Yujiro Hanma is the primary antagonist of Baki the Grappler, known as the Strongest Creature on Earth. He possesses superhuman strength and an arrogant personality, and is also the father of the protagonist, Baki–a familiar storyline that has been explored time and again throughout the long-running Tekken franchise.
Yujiro Hanma will enter Tekken 8 in early 2027, although a specific release date has yet to be announced. Bandai Namco has, however, promised a new trailer for Yujiro on 17 January 2027, during the Tekken World Tour Finals 2026 at EVO Singapore.
Is Roger Jr coming to Tekken 8?
The genetically engineered kangaroo Roger has appeared several times throughout the Tekken series. However, in Tekken 8, she will be accompanied by her joey, Roger Jr, who fights from her pouch, marking the little kangaroo's first appearance after over a decade.
Roger Jr's gameplay features the familiar mind-games-gameplay built around low and mid punches, as both mother-and-son can strike punches. The developers have also added "many acrobatic attacks that make use of a kangaroo's leaping ability".
The kangaroo has a variety of stances, including "Astronauts", "Rocket Stance" and "Bobbin Dance", to catch opponents off guard and keep them guessing about where the next strike will land. His moves are described as comical and cartoonish, providing a lively contrast to the game's otherwise brutal battlefield.
Roger Jr is the third DLC character in Tekken 8 Season 3, set to launch on 17 November, with early access beginning on 12 November. He follows Kunimitsu, who arrived in June 2026, and Bob, who joined in August 2026. Yujiro Hanma, scheduled for the winter phase in early 2027, will complete this season's DLC character line-up.
