Polands match against the Korean team ended last Monday. The Poles fought hard, but could not match their opponents. A total score of 5-3 (12-8) for the Asians shows a good performance from the Polish players, but an event better for the Koreans.
The match started on Saturday 6th of August. After some delays and struggles with time zones a couple of the matches could be played.
Avernum started out by winning against

The match continued on Monday the 8th, when
Pako took on Nal_Crayon. Crayon won with a 2-0 score giving the Koreans a 1-4 lead. Next pair was Wiget and Nal_Jitto. Wiget won that match 2-0. LoiD and Marcinu played the 2on2 for the Poles, while Nal_Crayon and Nal_Jitto stepped up for Korea. Poland usually do very good in the 2on2's, and this time was no exception - 2-1, and a total score being POL 3-5 KOR."Maybe even Blackman will appear then..."
Cyru, captain of Poland, wanted to explain for the people saying that those Koreans are just a bunch of average guys that they are very good for sure. "Look at their lineup. Crayon, leader of Team Korea, brought many semi-pros.", he says. There were several difficulties for the match. "The match was really hard for us. First of all we and they had to play at really strange hours due to the fact that Crayon lives in USA and most Koreans can't speak English.". For example, the Monday matches were scheduled to begin at 09:00 CET.
"Several Poles were away during this match. However, I'm sure we've done our best without Draco and Tomson who are on holidays. Good games are always welcomed. We're gonna play a revange when top players are in Poland again. Maybe even Blackman will appear then...", Cyru sums the match up.
