Foreigners invited to PGT ISL!

[s]event[/s]

To get a more varied nationality in the PGTour ISL, after the Korean domination in the qualifier, PGTour will now invite the 20 non-koreans from the last season ladder. 13 of these will get to play in the ISL, as the league needed 13 players from the last season.

“

The 11 players left from the Bloody Mary and the 13 other players from the last International Starcraft League (the players who didn't place in the top 3, so that would be #4-16), are seeded into this Portal Mess.”

- ISL rules

As the PGTour ISL didn't get quite that many international players, all Koreans except one, the International Starcraft League staff found a loop hole in the league rules. Now, they invited 20 foreigners ranked from the last season to fill in the 13 player that originally were meant to come to the league from the last season. As this is the first season, there were no such players.

The rules and details on how the league is supposed to be played contains a hole for the first season;

GosuGamers asked Pat of PGTour earlier about how they were to fill those seats and here is the answer. "We thought that it would be nice to give a second chance to non Koreans top players from Season one." says Pat over at PGTour. These players below will be contacted, and the highest ranked 13 players who say yes will get invited to the last stage of ISL.
