The Titans are Black in Business

Today’s Super League match featured MVP Black’s return to the stage and the dethroned titans did not seem phased.

After the Korean team lost to Tempest for a second time in the Summer Championship, everyone was curious to see what kind of form they would be in for their Season debut. Needless to say, the anticipation was palpable:

Their opponents this time? Team White Water. As you’ve probably guessed, White Water was the underdog team going into this match. Considering their opponents, Black went out of their way to confirm that they were still a force to be reckoned with, making quick work of their opponents in a 3-0 sweep.

If that didn’t convince you, you should probably look at the drafts. Game 1 started out standard: Sake on Falstad, Rich on Thrall – MVP on fire. By Game 3 Black was so confident that they decided to spice up their draft a little: not only did Sake show us his Chromie, but KyoCha played an Abathur and picked Evolve Monstrosity as his ultimate. Needless to say, it looks like confidence is not an issue for the titans of old.

Despite the convincing stomp of a series, one needs to keep in mind that it was more or less expected considering MVP’s opponents. What poses the most interesting question is whether they are prepared to take on the new Tempo Storm. Are the dethroned kings content with just playing well, or are they hungry to take back their throne?
