The second qualifier of the Spring Championship Katowice leaves only 4 spots remaining in the main event.
Dignitas and Fnatic have now joined Team Liquid and GoogleishetZont in teams that have qualified for Katowice, where the 2 EU representatives for the Spring World Championships will be determined. Fnatic used Greymane to great effect, while Dignitas found success using their own niche pick, Anub’arak.
Dignitas has a knack for filling their lineups with multiple warriors, so it only makes sense that they are the only team finding success with Anub’arak. The lethal control given with Mighty Gust and Web Wrap allows Dignitas to single out one target and easily take them out once Web Wrap is about to end. Simple choose a target, and when their team comes to try and break the Web, you gust them away. The cocooned target stays still and is now dangerously alone. This lethal combination allowed them to beat one of EU’s rising heroes teams, The Sandwich Monkey.
Meanwhile, Fnatic has taken a serious shine to Greymane, using him to add more melee heroes to that serve to protect a lone Kael’Thas or Zagara. Fnatic often pairs Greymane with Kharazim or Stitches, allowing the burst and mobility of the heroes to maximize quickly on a successful hook or otherwise punish an opponent out of position. This playstyle serves them well and is something we have only really seen so far from the EU region.
