MYM with an ETS hat-trick as they reign over Qualifier #8

Meet Your Makers became the most-winning team in the ETS 3 qualifiers on Friday as they took their third win in a row, beating Pirates in Pyjamas in the grand finals.

Meet Your Makers has been on an absolute hot streak recently. The team started actively competing in tournaments in July and under the captainship of Christopher “chriZplosion” Zerbe they’ve coined 75% win-rate over 32 games played. Even more impressive is their August run so far, currently at 10-3 and 77% win-rate.

The Enter the Storm qualifiers has been a large contributor to MYM’s success. Their first major injection of qualifier points was in Cup #3 where they took top four and after a short hiatus they returned in force to become one of the strongest teams vying for a spot in the main event. Their victories over Bob and PiP in qualifiers #6 and #7 secured their spot in the grand finals but MYM were far from done. Determined to show the European region just how good there are, chriZplosion’s squad entered the eighth qualifier, crushed it and made history. As of now, MYM are the only team in Enter the Storm to achieve a first place hat-trick, which puts them on top of the team standings with 112 points.

Speaking of standings, after the eitghth qualifier they are as follows:

With just one qualifier to go, a lot is still at stake for several of the teams. MYM, Bob and Kappa123 sit comfortably on the top of the rankings, their slots in the main event group stage unthreatened. Puszek and ROCCAT take #4 and #5 respectively just a few points away and are also guaranteed a spot in the finals. Showing stable performance, Huron, PiP and Kinguin will also be seeded forward as they’ve accumulated enough points to feel secure.

For the rest of the teams, however, it’s all still on the table. There are only 12 points difference between the #9 and #12 teams and with 32 points being awarded to the winner, everything is possible. Currently, Dun Goofed cling to the ninth position – the lowest rank awarding a main event seeding – but Spartanien, TF and 4HD are not far behind. Dun Goofed will have to give their best today: A moment of weakness could cost them the coveted spot.

Registrations for the final Qualifier #9 are open and the competition starts today at 18:00 CEST. Do not miss your chance and sign up now.
