What is Diablo V about?
Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced Diablo V, and it looks like the bad guys have finally won. A teaser for the upcoming sequel revealed a ravaged Sanctuary–the world players have fought hard to save time upon time again–claimed by a returning threat, Diablo himself.
Diablo appears to be returning as the game’s big bad, as the sequel teases a storyline wherein Sanctuary’s heroes have officially lost, and Diablo has won. Diablo V is officially launching in Spring 2029.
What is the Diablo Netflix animated series about?
BlizzCon 2026’s Opening Ceremony confirmed that Blizzard Entertainment and Netflix are officially making a new Diablo animated series. The TV series will finally bring the Diablo franchise to the silver screen, though details of the project are currently unknown.
Additional adaptations for other Blizzard properties like Overwatch were also teased.
What is Diablo: Season of Hell’s Legacy about?
The next season of Diablo is entitled “Season of Hell’s Legacy,” and aptly so. This season brings back the legendary Horadrim Deckard Cain, a longtime recurring character in the Diablo franchise. Cain returns in Diablo IV’s seasonal update with terrible news: three dark wanderers have returned, leaving trails of death in their wake in Sanctuary.
This new season adds a Seasonal Questline wherein players will defeat echoes of Diablo beneath Tristram Cathedral, Baal at Arreat Summit, and Mephisto within the Durance of Hate. They can then choose from each Prime Evil’s power to bear their abilities for the rest of the season.
When is The Amazon launching in Diablo IV?
The Amazon will be Diablo IV’s next playable class, first introduced in this year’s Lord of Hatred expansion. The class comes from the island of Skovos, and is described as “the disciplined, athletic, and highly trained warrior fantasy players remember while reimagining the class for Diablo IV.”
The Amazon will feature four gameplay archetypes, including the Champion, Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander. The Amazon will wield the bow and javelin, adding a new weapon type to the game. Additionally, Diablo IV is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
