The Jackdaw returns to the seas once more.

When is the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced reveal?
Ubisoft confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced’s worldwide reveal showcase will air on 23 April at 9:00 AM PST / 12:00 PM EST / 5:00 PM BST / 6:00 PM CEST/ 11:00 PM SGT. The announcement came through a post on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, paired with a short teaser clip that leaves little room for doubt about what’s being unveiled.
Rather than keep up the usual radio silence, Ubisoft poked fun into the situation directly, stating: “We know you know, but how about we tell you some more now?” The message lands after months of mounting leaks and speculation, effectively confirming what players have already pieced together.
Why is Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced called the ‘worst-kept secret’?
The publisher openly referred to the remake as “gaming’s worst-kept secret” because of the endless leaks that have occurred since 2025.
Speculation first took hold in June 2025, when Edward Kenway’s voice actor made a cryptic remark that hinted at a possible remake. Then, in December, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced's domain name registration also appeared. The game later on appeared in a PEGI listing, reinforcing earlier reports that Ubisoft had been revisiting the 2013 release. By January, fans had also spotted newly-registered domain names linked to the project, adding further weight to the rumours.
In March, the official French Assassin’s Creed account revealed the game’s title. Finally, just days ahead of Ubisoft’s announcement, details of the showcase itself were leaked online.
What is Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced?
While Ubisoft have yet to outline full details ahead of the showcase, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is expected to be a remake of the 2013 pirate-era entry, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The original title remains one of the franchise’s most popular instalments, known for its open-sea exploration, naval combat, and the story of Edward Kenway. The reveal is set to deliver the first official look at what’s been rebuilt, reworked, or expanded in this updated version.
This only means all hands are on deck for fans, because finally, after all the whispers, sightings, and half-sunken rumours, Ubisoft is finally ready to chart the course in full.
