The new support cards will include SSR Bamboo Memory (Power) and SR Shinko Windy (Speed).
Umamusume: Pretty Derby is introducing a new trainee and a new set of support cards coming this 17 September.
The trainee is Hishi Amazon, while the support cards will consist of SSR Bamboo Memory (Power) and SR Shinko Windy (Speed). The banners will replace Seiun Sky and support cards Silence Suzuka (Speed) and Tamamo Cross (Stamina).
Hishi Amazon is your next End Closer runner
Hishi Amazon is joining the roster of runners with a preference for the End Closer style, an A aptitude on Turf, and an E aptitude for dirt. She does well on Mile and Medium distances.
Although with the right legacy umamusume, Hishi Amazon can run in long races, as her distance aptitude for that length is at B. She can also opt to become a Pace Chaser with the right legacies, although this is not recommended as her kit focuses solely on her being an End Closer.
Hishi Amazon has a 20% growth rate in Power, and 10% in Guts, and her unique skill is “You and Me! One-on-One!”, which will allow her to increase velocity when passing another runner on the outside toward the back on the final straight.
All of Hishi Amazon’s Potential Skills are catered towards her End Closer style and Medium distance preference. Level 2 will provide the “End Closer Straightaways” skill, which will slightly and moderately increase velocity on a straight as an End Closer runner.
Level 3 will unlock the gold skill “Unyielding”, which will allow Hishi Amazon to increase her ability to fight back when passed by another runner on the final corner in a Medium-distance race.
Level 4 on the other hand, will provide “End Closer Corners”, which similar to “End Closer Straightaways", will have two levels: slightly and moderately increasing Hishi Amazon’s velocity on a corner, but given if only she is running as an End Closer.
The maximum level, Level 5, will provide “Sturm und Drang”, a gold skill that will let Hishi Amazon move up in preparation to close the gap late-race, but only as an End Closer.
Her skills will also provide more avenues for you to power up her stats, as Hishi Amazon prioritises Speed and Power as an End Closer.
Is it worth getting Hishi Amazon?
Given that Hishi Amazon is the third End Closer runner next to Gold Ship and Narita Taishin, you may be thinking if she’s worth getting at all. However, Hishi Amazon does have her strengths, particularly her innate ability to get the “End Closer Corners” and “End Closer Straightaways” skills.
Because of this, plus her unique skill, she’s a good pick to become a parent for your other End Closer runners, given that you do achieve the right Sparks after her career.
However, if you feel that you have enough End Closer Runners or do not find her beneficial to your account, then she’s a pretty safe skip. But if you’re a big fan of her, then what’s stopping you from bringing her home to your account?
SSR Bamboo Memory support card
Bamboo Memory’s SSR support card will also be made available alongside Hishi Amazon. The support card focuses on Power. As Bamboo Memory, according to the Japanese version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, is a Late Surger with a propensity for Mile distances, the majority of the skills she can provide through her card are catered to such conditions.
The card will also provide a unique perk at Level 30, which will give initial Power and a Power bonus.
Bamboo Memory will also give players access to the “Rising Dragon” gold skill through career events, which will increase velocity when passing another runner on the outside on the final corner for Late Surger runners.
Additional data from the Japanese version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby also reveals the possible skill hints players can get from Bamboo Memory, those being:
- Target in Sight
- Straightaway Adept
- Gap Closer (Sprint)
- Mile Straightaways
- Late Surger Straightaways
- Acceleration (Mile)
If you have an affinity towards Late Surger runners with a distance aptitude for Mile and Sprint, then Bamboo Memory’s SSR card is a great choice to have.
SR Shinko Windy support card
Although only an SR card, Shinko Windy’s support card, which caters to speed, does have its benefits. When using the card, trainers will be able to avail a stat gain of Speed +6 and Power +2.
Shinko Windy’s SR card is usable for runners who are Pace Chasers with an aptitude for Mile distances, but she does have some useful skills that aren’t tied to track length. The skills are:
- Wet Conditions
- Competitive Spirit
- Prepared to Pass (Pace Chaser)
- Hesitant Front Runners
While skills from career events are:
- Shifting Gears (Mile)
- Unyielding Spirit (Mile)
