DreamLeague Season 13: Leipzig Major group stage is halfway over as teams vie for top bracket seeding.
The second Major of the DPC 2019-2020 season has already begun with one full day of groups being played out. All sixteen teams have had a chance to flex their competitive muscles in the opening matches.
Some of the biggest surprises of the day included Game 3 between Nigma esports and TNC Predator where the Europeans absolutely shellacked TNC 25:1 in just 23 minutes. The MDL Chengdu Major champions looked lost and dismal and will now need to win against Team Aster in hopes of an upper bracket seed.
Na'vi overpowered Evil Geniuses 2:1, surprising fans in both NA and CIS. Despite an Abed Meepo in the deciding game, EG were not able to secure a win Na'Vi swiping the lead from them 33 minutes in and charging to the victory.
beastcoast, Alliance and Fnatic all swept through their opponents with a clean 2:0 victory to start the event out with a bang.
No one will be eliminated in the groups with the top two teams going into the upper brackets and the bottom two teams heading into the unforgiving best-of-one elimination series of the lower brackets.
The action will continue on Sunday, January 19th at 13:30 CET with Winner's Match for each group.
