Shanghai Major: MVP wins Group A

In less than an hour, MVP.Phoenix defeats Secret 2-0 for a spot in the upper bracket at the main event.

Game 1:

Sticking with what they are comfortable with, MVP.Phoenix drafted a Phantom Lancer, Nature's Prophet and Earth Spirit, allowing them to gank early and quickly push. As the game began, Secret and MVP clashed in an attempt to secure the bottom bounty rune, resulting in Secret's Invoker giving up first blood to MVP's PL. This gave MVP's mid PL an advantage over Invoker and allowed Earth Spirit to easily gank mid successfully; making use of this opportunity to kill Invoker twice and also finding the opportunity to kill Beast Master twice. MVP quickly snowballed, achieving a 10-1 kill score and a mega kill streak on PL by ten minutes. Without leaving any space for their opposition to react, MVP pushed multiple towers, took Rosh and decimated Secret's base at the 18 minute mark.

Game 2:

Once again, a minute zero bounty rune conflict occurred. This time though Secret claimed the first blood at the cost of two deaths. Despite coming out of the pre-laning stage engagement even, things quickly went sour for Secret as MVP's Bounty Hunter managed to snipe their courier twice and get multiple ganks on Secret heroes. After obtaining some levels, MVP's Nature's Prophet joined in the ganking, forcing Secret's heroes to lose experience and farm. Capitalising on Secret's supports, that were weak at tower defending, and low leveled cores MVP quickly took the majority of the outer towers and pushed through the top barracks after picking off the opposing Tiny. Things went further downhill from there and eventually Secret gave in.
