Main Event Day 1 schedule :

Evil Geniuses vs Natus Vincere - 2:1
HellRaisers vs ViCi Gaming - 13:00 CET

Evil Geniuses vs Natus Vincere

Game One [W: Natus Vincere]

Evil Geniuses start out very strong in the laning stage and effectively win all three lanes due to the Drow Ranger Aura and some good rotations from ppd. Na'Vi remained calm and collected however, waited for a few opportunities to get pick-offs and with an early Valdimir's Offering, Na'Vi forced out a Roshan. The North-Americans tried to contest it and a teamfight gone wrong gave Na'Vi an edge. The pushing power from Na'Vi made sure that they were able to take objectives after successful fights and as soon as Xboct picked up his BKB, EG had no answer for him anymore. The lack of lockdown on EG's side made it difficult for them to engage, whereas Na'Vi played it very aggressively, taking kills and breaching highground 20mins in.

Game Two [W: Evil Geniuses]

Natus Vincere does not start the game well as they lose yet another laning stage. Chen sent a creep to the midlane to help out SumaiL, while Goblak's support Warlock did not help out top. EG kept rolling and was able to rotate properly and push with their Troll Warlord. During teamfights, the combination of Nova and Overgrowth proved too much to handle for Na'Vi and EG continued to take objectives until the Ukrainians callerd gg.

Game Three [W: Evil Geniuses]

Starting off with a very passive early game which ended with a team fight mid where Na'Vi lost four, game three was an endless cycle of Na'Vi being unable to gain any momentum, with multiple smoke ganks failing by Na'Vi. The second major clash after the one early game came at the 20 minute mark when Dendi got picked off and EG tried to take rosh; Na'vi contested but failed and in return loses all five. The story repeats again at the radiant bottom teir 1 where Na'Vi lost three after a messy initiation. Riding this momentum, EG easily took overwhelmed the high ground defense put up by Na'Vi and took the series.
