Cloud9 vs Big God

Game One [W: Big God]

Big God decided to put their trust on Medusa yet again, and attempt to endure Cloud9's odd early game strategy with offlane Invoker. While the laning phase was disastrous for Big God, things seemed to get worse and worse as Cloud9 went for a barracks siege by minute 20. Surprisingly, the first attempt went horribly for the Western squad, and they were unable to complete their objective. The second siege had a similar fate, and then the third, and then the fourth, and suddenly BurNing's Medusa started getting extremely dangerous. As the game approached the 50th minute mark, it was time for Divine Rapier, and C9 knew they could no longer win a straight-up teamfight, no matter what. Their final effort was a few takes of "rat-Dota" and a desperate base race, but even then they were unable to prevent this almost tragic loss.

Game Two [W: Big God]

The Chinese squad relied yet again on a very lategame orientated draft with a lot of teamfight potential, with Cloud 9 picking up a Chen again and a Zeus to counter the Naga Siren and break the initiation. The Europeans was unable to be as dominant in the early game as they probably wanted to be, but the transition into the midgame went quite well with their burst damage. Big God however had the much stronger teamfight line-up and despite some failed initiations, was always able to trade at least equally. Thus, C9 could not take objectives efficiently, whereas BurNing's Naga Siren remained almost uncontested in farm. Several smoke ganks and pick-off attempts from Cloud 9 failed and other than C9, Big God was indeed able to take objectives. A horrible engagement for the Europeans meant the end of their upper bracket run.
