Enjoy DotA! Stop crying
What has happened to the DotA community and its fans? There was this show match between DDT and AEON.sg for the opening of the Asia Elite DotA League. The two teams played a best-of-3 match to celebrate the start of a new league; and what was the feedback coming from big parts of the community? Flame, hate, trolling at its best (or worse, depending on your perspective). There’s one group protecting DDT for their loss and putting the blame on the delay. Just to be crystal clear: there’s always delay when playing online, and the farther the players are apart, the higher it’ll be. That’s pure physics and either the teams don’t play or accept it. And the same should apply to the fans: accept that there is delay and don’t turn it into everyone’s favorite scapegoat, because it will always start an endless and cyclical discussion.
But there was also this other group calling the loser of that encounter "f*cking newbs" and "unmannered what-so-ever". Didn’t we have that a couple of days ago with Drayich’s blog entry? What’s the point in calling someone a “newb”? Does it make you feel any better? One team always has to lose, that’s a fact; but is it really necessary to yell at the loser like you have Tourette’s? I highly doubt that.
Why can’t you guys just enjoy the match? I fully understand why teams never want to play any show matches against each other if that’s the result: two groups of people yelling and insulting each other for absolutely no reason at all. Keep in mind that these were show matches; they are meant to entertain the viewers, not to start never-ending discussions.
Working at GosuGamers.net would be so much nicer and easier if people were be able to be empathetic for their opposite; and end the useless arguments. That DotA can be just for fun, is shown by Mikey and his newly formed team FFF.

MYM back on track? A ranking overview
After losing two of their players, MiGGel and Angel to DDT, some peeps in the community had concerns whether MYM would be able to maintain their position in the competitive DotA scene. But as it seems, the new players fit perfectly to MYM, not losing a single game since they joined. In numbers, it’s a total winning streak of 6 games, placed #1 at the Gosugamers rankings and earned 500€ by winning the EMS V:

The team, to which Angel and MiGGel went after leaving MYM, also has a 6 match winning streak that ended with the show match against AEON.sg; but well it’s still a show match. That means DDT hasn’t lost a single official (tournament) game since ADL.

Way more impressive are the current stats of the third-placed team in the ranking: Nirvana.International. Since their creation 3 months ago the team around Puppey and KuroKy only lost a single match; namely against TheShit! I can’t remember a team having 11-1 stats!

I’m not sure if this is just the teaser and more will come very soon, but the movie OnlineDotA.se features some very impressive scenes and shows how to edit movies on the highest level. The only point I can criticize is that some scenes lack overview and are presented too fast or too short. If you have 5 minutes, you shouldn’t miss this movie, and if you don’t you shouldn’t either!
