DDT started off with an extremely aggresive line up and it could be seen from get go that they planned to dominate the lane stages, allowing Misery to farm up his Storm in peace. Aeon had other things in mind. Angel and his Mirana encountered great difficulty due to a superb Shadow Fiend from Hyhy. Hyhy was basically allowed to farm as he pleased, even though Miracle stuck his head out the bushes a couple of times to earn the Scourge a hand full of kills.

Misery was clearly affected by delay or lag as his timing was quite thrown off. With Storm being such a fragile hero, Aeon were very clever to place Lion solo mid as the roaming Sand King became a very daunting thought for Misery, as he was forced to play very defensively; severely limiting his farm.

Sven and Vengeful Spirit were having an equally tough time bottom lane. Lina and Sand King ganked them continuously, Neutral creeps were constantly being pulled and Medusa was a very happy camper, farming her lane solidly.

Aeon countered DDT's aggresive line up but teleporting all around the map, aiding teammates in need and saving a number of deaths. Special mention must go to Tofu and his Lion who timed and placed his stuns to perfection, often allowing his teammates to escape with minimal health. Slowly but surely, Aeon started to pull ahead in terms of kills, farm and towers; completely overrunning their European counterparts. Their complete map dominance allowed Hyhy to afford his Manta Style after 20 minutes of gameplay; while Medusa farmed solidly as well. All DDT had to boast were a couple pairs of Power Treads.

Aeon also triumphed in nearly every team fight as they avoided clumping, allowing for Enigma's ultimate to be easily countered. 30 minutes in, DDT was pushed over by sheer force, being out farmed, out leveled and out played.

This game went significantly better for the Europeans than the first game did. They went for a more conservative approach this time, focusing on pushing power and giving their carry, Slardar protection and the ability to farm. However, it was the Asians' chance to turn up the heat during the lane stages, with Magnus and Rhasta being a very deadly combo.

The various lanes were like totally different stories for DDT. Slardar farmed solidly, supported by Ducky and his Warlock. Angel was able to gain his Vanguard and Blink Dagger within 20 minutes and things were looking good for DDT. On the other hand, Misery's Shadow Fiend basically withered in front of Hyhy's Magnus and yongyong's Rhasta. All due respect to Misery though, as this is a very difficult lane to play against, especially when using a relatively weak hero such as Shadow Fiend. Saying this, he was able to get himself back into the game later on.

Things were looking very even mid way through the game, with Pugna being well on the way to getting his sheep stick and Angel having a truly impressive creep count, as well as solid items. The pushing power of DDT earned them a number of towers, gaining a slight map and push advantage. On the other side of the map, Magnus was getting extremely fat and xy-.'s Storm roamed around the map continuously; picking off whatever heroes he could find (often being Misery and his Shadow Fiend).

When things got down to team fights, it could easily be said that Magnus saved the day for Aeon. His Empower coupled with Battlefury allowed him to rip through the team while his teammates disabled DDT left right and centre, with Medusa often walking in to pick up the scraps. The only Sentinel player to shine was Angel, picking up a hand full of Double Kills and a good all around effort from DDT earned him a triple kill.

Once again, DDT were out farmed by Aeon and the Asian team soon started to push DDT from all angles, forcing them to sit put in their base. The greastest criticism in this game would have to be directed at Sven, who chose a controversial Vanguard and Mask of Madness build rather than buying Blink Dagger or Black King Bar. Once Medusa was able to tank the Sentinel's feable attempts at killing her, Aeon were able to pick off the Sentinel and conquer their opponents to win the showmatch 2-0.

Both of these great games were overshadowed the lag that the European side suffered. AEDL is a great iniative as it brings together the best of Europe and Asian into one enviroment, but until a fair and stable host is found; there isn't much promise for fair matchs.

Our very own MadMortigan had the honour of shoutcasting both games alongside TheShit!'s Synderen. These can be found HERE.
