Eight teams from the play-in stage join the eight directly qualified teams in the playoffs in their respective groups.
After an intense two-day circuit, the sixteen teams that will be playing in the group stage of the IEM Katowice 2022 have been determined. Eight teams from the play-in stage will be joining eight teams that qualified directly to play in the group stages. These teams will be fighting to see which six teams will be selected to be in the playoff stage of the competition.

The sixteen teams will be split into two Groups – A and B, with the top three teams from each group heading to the playoffs, with the 2nd and 3rd place winners from each group playing in the quarter finals, and the group leaders going straight to the semifinals.
IEM has announced the teams that will be playing in each group, with the Group Stage played as a double elimination stage. In the graphics below, you can see the teams that are playing in each group:
The first Upper Bracket matches will be played on 17 February. The losers from the first match will be heading to the Lower Bracket to continue their journey in the tournament.
