G2 eSports made a surprising move this week as they revelead that they struck a deal with Team LDLC to trade their long time in-game leader Kevin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans for one of the up-and-coming talents in the region, Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro.
FaceIt, Twitch partner for $3.5 million league
Faceit and Twitch announced this week that they will be working together to build a $3.5 million eSports league that will feature a number of games including CS:GO, and will be one of the first leagues to feature to team co-ownership.
kioshima joins FaZe
FaZe Clan has announced that kioshima has signed with the organization this week, taking over the spot the Mikail "Maikelele" Bill vacated after their disappointing performance at MLG Columbus 2016, although FaZe states that Maikelele is still officially a member of the team as of now. PGL and Kespa to host Asian CS:GO minor
With the next major just on the horizon, Valve revealed this week that they will be bringing in PGL and Kespa to host the upcoming CS:GO Asian minor in May at the Nexon eSports Arena in Seoul, South Korea. The tournament will feature a hefty $50,000 prize pool, the biggest one to date for a CS:GO event in the country.
