Following the closure of the second day, it was already known that North America will have atleast one of their teams in the grand finals of ESL ESEA Pro League LAN finals. Cloud9 and Counter Logic Gaming were paired to fight against each other in the semi finals. The first map, Cloud9's pick, de_cache was opened with a very close pistol round where the both teams exchanged kills and all felt down to Cloud9's Skadoodle who clutched it and allowed his team to take 1-0 lead on the T side. The second round saw once again a great pistol skills by CLG players as they even made themselves a 2v1 advantage, but this time n0thing was in the spotlight as he extended Cloud9's lead to 2-0. From this moment on, Cloud9 was just playing their game. A great calling by seangares came to the fore as Cloud9 outmaneuvered CLG in every aspect of the game. tarik was on point for CLG where he even managed to take an ace in the pistol round of the second half, but still it wasn't enough to stop probably the best North American team claiming the first map of this best-of-three series. With 11-4 scoreline on T side, it was more than obvious that Cloud9 got this map in their pocket. The final score was 16-5.

The second map, de_dust2, was CLG's pick and it was opened once again in a great fashion by Cloud9. The guys in blue climbed up to fascinating 8-0 at CT side and it was looking like CLG is completely out of this match. However, CLG gathered up and showed a good resistance getting back to 8-6. The first half was closed with 9-6 score for Cloud9. In the second pistol round CLG almost gambled a big advantage which they had where it all felt down to 1v1 situation where hazed came out on the top of it to keep his team still in game. But, CLG couldn't show much more they only took the following round for 9-8 and that's exactly where they were stopped at, as Cloud9 claimed 16-8 victory.
