An amazing comeback by Axiom-Azer grant them the championship after a very intense and close final. Azubu took the lead yesterday 1-0 and Axiom-Acer really had to fight to tie up the series and eventually claim the title.

Azubu dominated the semi finals two times over and then again dominated the first part of the final. Things were looking grim for Axiom-Acer who were down one match going into the final day of the Global StarCraft Team League season 2. They knew what were at stake and had said in an interview prior to the playoffs that they were looking to take nothing less than the championship. The opinions on who they would rather face were a bit torn. INnoVation and Impact would rather play Azubu whereas Crank and Ryung would rather face StarTale. MMA did not care whatsoever. Half the team got their wish fulfilled and went up against Azubu in the climax of the season.

In the match today, both teams traded maps in an even fashion in what was a truly amazing final, both intense and exciting. Azubu took the lead 2-1 after three maps played but AXA then sent out Alicia who managed to conquer two maps in a row, beating both BBoongBBoong and Symbol. SuperNova tied up the series again at 3-3 and was faced up against StarCraft giant INnoVation in the last map of the match. INnoVation showed why he is such a highly respected and feared player and won the series for AXA. With both teams now winning one match each, INnoVation and SuperNova faced each other once again in the Ace match, the match for the championship. Unfortunately for Azubu who had such a good run in the playoffs, it went INnoVation's way and Axiom-Acer took home the title after a breath-taking final.
