Changes to WCS possible and results of challenger round 3

The bracket phase for WCS Europe challenger league is over and eight players emerge victorious. What this will mean for them, however, is yet to be determined.

According to some of the players who won the third round of Europe challenger, their wins wont seed them directly into the next premier league season as it did so far. StarBuck and Bunny were among the first to report that Blizzard might be revising the WCS format and have winners of Challenger round 3 only get special seeds for future Premier league qualifiers.

StarBuck:

This season you can't qualify from Season 3 challenger to Premier league season 1 - 2014.
If you finish top at challenger, you get better seed for the qualifiers for Premier, so it's like that
Qualify for challenger (or drop from premier ) --- > Play and try to finish first (top 8) --------> another qualifiers only for top players from challenger.
So it's gonna be really hard to come back in Premier once your out...
I hate Blizzard, this makes rly no sense to do something like that ...

Later, German Protoss Showtime confirmed Bunny's and StarBuck's statements by saying Blizzard had sent e-mails to the players explaining the situation and that more details about the revised format will be revealed soon. French Terran player Dayshi - who was eliminated by Lucifron after deliberately randoming Zerg in challenger round 2 - also repeated the information. Further information provided by uThermal hinted towards the removal of the challenger league altogether.

GosuGamers will be reaching to Turtle Entertainment representatives in attempt to obtain more information on the matter and we'll make sure to inform you whenever new details surface.
