Where is The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel set?
Game developer Bethesda Game Studios finally dropped new information for its highly-anticipated The Elder Scrolls sequel: Sentinel. The game’s subtitle was revealed alongside a quote revealing its setting for the first time: Hammerfell. The full quote reads: “The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate," as said by Yazar, Moth Priest of High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell.
A reply to the post on Twitter/X by Bethesda confirms that this also points to the sequel’s setting. “Thank you for 40 years of shared memories. We can’t wait to make even more together with The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. Development continues, and while it’ll be some time before we’re ready to share more, it feels great to finally reveal the name and location with you,” said Bethesda.
Hammerfell is known to be the home of the Redguards in The Elder Scrolls lore, and is available to explore in The Elder Scrolls Online. No further information was shared on the game, however. It was originally announced all the way back in E3 2018, with only a logo reveal to show for itself at the time.
Fans might be in for a longer wait to see some gameplay from the title.
