StarTale continued the tradition to win hard-fought games against their opponents. The team started with a 3-4 loss to Azubu at the start of the tournament but has been on winning streak since, pinning a 4-3 against SouL, a 4-2 against AXA and today a 4-3 against FXOpen.

StarTale opened with the hero of the AXA game Panic, the Protoss player who managed to three-kill Ryung, Heart and Innovation last week. Going up to 4-0 in PvT's Panic ousted Gumiho in the first round but his perfect anti-Terran record of his was quickly tarnished as sC tied the series.

The middle of the series was a Zerg fest, starting with Curious' double kill against sC and Seed, putting StarTale at 3-1 and a win away from series victory. Aware they have to score three in a row in order to make a comeback, FXOpen summoned their long-time ace Leenock who managed to defeat Curious as well as Life to bring it to 3-3.

Thus, an ace match had to be played and Avenge walked in the booth for StarTale. Known for his skill in PvZ with 65% and being the player who closed the SouL match for StarTale by besting Hyvaa in analogical situation, Avenge played expectedly well and the FXO ace fell before him. This puts Avenge at 3-1 in PvZ in GSTL alone and makes his second time he's brought final-match victory to StarTale.
